Harper hails opening of grand Hindu temple

Public Versus Private Sector Wages
Harry Nads replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Exactly. Those who bash government workers as overpaid and lazy always ignore the outlandish perks corporate executives receive. -
Indeed. Changes certainly need to be made. Words can be used in a variety of ways and when used creatively and shamelessly, any ridiculous concept can be sweetly sugar coated to convince the masses that opposite of what is truly happening is actually happening.

3rd World settling in Canada
Harry Nads replied to mikedavid00's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Are you applauding slave labour or do you not realize that there are still places in China where workers are beaten if they don't work fast enough? Please tell us what you think of the Blacks and the Hispanics too. Ah yes, they are the ones who are backwards and closed minded. Not you, them. -
Is anyone surprised? Every party in power attempts to stack the deck in their favour. Get this through your heads, the Liberals and Conservatives are now nearly identical. The only parties that offer true alternatives (good and bad) are the NDP (commies in disguise), my party & the Greens. Of course, there are other smaller parties (such as mine) but they have no chance because they limit themselves to a few big issues and have no longterm goals for the country.

Public Versus Private Sector Wages
Harry Nads replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
People are greedy and needy. The more money you pay them the more loyal they become. There is high turnover in the private sector. High turnover leads to instability and a waste of resources. All of you small government chest pounders tend to turn a blind eye to the inefficiencies in the corporate model. -
We should be focusing on gaining control of their opium fields. Canada can use the influx in money to support black ops. For the record, I support changing our focus in Afghanistan and ensuring that we gain control of the opium before the Americans beat us to the punch.

3rd World settling in Canada
Harry Nads replied to mikedavid00's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Invaders shall be dealt with. Not only will we flush them out but we will defeat them. There's no reason to try to scare Canadian citizens into submission because #1, we don't scare easy and #2 we don't fear the unknown. Whether it's the muslims, christians, jews, hindus, buddhists or infidels, we embrace them unless of course they're up to no good. However, my political party personally keeps tabs on the baptists and scientologists. They can't be trusted. Isn't that nice. I stand for Canada BEFORE any other country. A good place to stand, for those who support Israel above all other countries, is in Israel not in Canada. -
Jewish girl attacks Palestian girl: MUST SEE VID!
Harry Nads replied to mikedavid00's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You're a disgrace to your country. You pledge allegiance to Israel instead of the country you live in and you even have the audacity to say Israel is the greatest country to live in. People like you shouldn't be allowed to vote. I don't agree with Harper much either and I also support the invasion of Afghanistan and I can't say that I don't disagree with his stance on Israel too much, but I'm looking out for Canada's best interests, unlike you. Many people in the U.S. government suffer from the same disgusting problem. The difference between them and you is that they abuse their power to help another country while knowing that the country they live in does not benefit one bit. Quite simply, you're a traitor. -
How dare you? I was with you up until you brought up that vile question. First of all, Mexico is a dangerous country and Canadians should not travel there until further notice. Secondly, you have no right giving any credibility to a quote that implies Canadians who have been injured or worse in Mexico were misbehaving. Shame on you.

Here here! I thought I was the only who was disgusted by all the "me me me" comments. If it's good for Canada it's good for you. The problem with this country is that people are so damn selfish. They want that big HD 50" plasma TV but they whine about the price. They want to live the good life but they want someone else to pay. To those people, I suggest they move to communist Cuba. This is Canada. If you want something nice you will pay for it.

Are you ready for the "Big One!"
Harry Nads replied to Fat Freddie's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
In response to the original poster, yes there are indeed terrorists in Canada but instead of wondering when they are going to strike we should be thinking about how to flush them out and how to prevent them from striking. From what I hear, the main reason they haven't struck in Canada is out of fear of being caught. That's right but before you let out a chuckle, consider the reasons why they would fear getting caught. These people don't care about the possibility of dying. They do not fear torture. The reason they fear getting caught is because they have big plans and they do not want to get caught before the major terrorist plots are carried out. This is troublesome and this is why we need to flush them out quickly. -
Education is the solution. Radicalism has been a problem since the beginning of time. Many people don't want to hear this but part of the problem is that there are too many have nots in this world. While I'm not linking poverty to ignorance, studies clearly prove that those who do not have the resources to educate themselves are left behind and these are the people who are most susceptible to being brainwashed by those who preach hate. Canada must continue to support poor nations and make it a priority to fight terrorism wherever it resides.

jbg, in no way was I taking a swipe at our military. What I meant was that they made the mistake of letting another nation gain more power. Their loss is our gain so it's great for Canada but only if we play our cards right.

I'm firmly against drugs but the facts indicate that marijuana is less harmful than both cigarettes and alcohol. I would instantly legalize marijuana if I were elected Prime Minister. More harm than good comes from prohibiting marijuana. When prison cells are taken up by people who should not be in jail Canada is the one who suffers. Resources are spent on these people for no good reason.

Liberal Senate thwarting gun crime fight
Harry Nads replied to hiti's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I do not believe gun control can work. The fact of the matter is that criminals always find a way to obtain firearms and sadly, many of these weapons are coming from the U.S.A. We need to clamp down on illegal firearms by focusing more attention on this problem and pouring more resources into special units which can combat this epidemic. There's no need to point fingers at America but we must not tiptoe around the root of the problem. -
Some of the comments in this thread are disturbing. I fully understand that most of you just want to see a peaceful resolution, one way or the other. However, many of you are refusing to look at the big picture. Like it or not (and I know that many of you communist NDP'ers don't like it) Canada lives and breathes by the capitalist system. Quite frankly, if we don't pounce on Afghanistan now we'll miss our chance. The Americans made a grave error by allowing us to obtain more power and a stronger foothold in the hot regions. Now is our chance to rally our people around this mission and make something out of it. Not for Afghanistan, for Canada. You can quote me on this too as my supporters already know full well that I stand behind Canada in the prolonged occupation of Afghanistan. I hope that you all vote and that you are open to emerging political parties. You can't rely on the Conservatives or Liberals to figure out how to deal with Afghanistan.
