  1. Not sure what your point is here. Businesses will do whatever they need to stay functional. Its not their way of agreeing with the science, its their way of staying profitable. The government also gets forced to make decisions too based on lobbying. Doesn't make it right just political.
  2. LMAO....you were the one chirping about higher NATIONAL rates. Read your own argument. The fact is every organization oversimplifies the data which causes confusion. For a proper comparison, you would need to break groups down by age, comorbidity and possibly even race. At that point then you can add vaccination status to the mix to see what effect it has. AGAIN....a vaccinated person in their 70s is at much higher risk than an unvaccinated person in their 20s yet they are viewed as the exact same.
  3. Never said it was the only one. Just used it as an example. Show me the numbers of people it kills with no health issues. Also...google "Flu kills healthy man" and you will find numerous examples of that too yet we didn't shut anything down for the flu. We know what COVID is doing now and can act accordingly. Tell that to the heathy people who died from the vaccine.
  4. Um....I'm the one stating no one should be forced to get vaccinated. Why would I say that obese people should? My point is very simple...the data clearly shows who are at risk. If you aren't in those groups then you can make an educated decision on whether you want the vaccine or not. Pretending that a 20 year unvaccinated kid is more of a risk than a 70 year double vaxxed obese person is the epitome of stupidity.
  5. Not really. The time the UK started their Detla uptick was around June 15. Their national vaccination rate was 45% fully vaxxed and 63% partially. The US started their uptick around July 15 and they were at 48% fully vaxxed and 56% partially.
  6. That is just like most posts I see of unvaccinated people dying. They are either obese or have other conditions. Take Travis Campbell from Virginia for example. He made big news by sending his ICU video out to the world. The man is clearly overweight and has rheumatoid arthritis. Very few examples of people without comorbidities that die from covid. Offset of course by those who die from the vaccine.
  7. I think you are misconstruing what severe illness or death means. If I (as an individual) were to have caught Covid origininal or Alpha, I would not get any sicker or have any more chance of dying than if I caught Delta. The virus will not affect me any more than the previous strains. If everyone caught COVID at once then you should end up with X amount of deaths. If you have it spread faster or slower than it will change how quickly we get to that point but it won't increase the value of X unless its a stronger virus (which its not proven to be thus far). Sorry...I'm going with PHE on this one. They've been dealing with Delta for months now and don't have nearly the political BS to deal with. It seems fairly obvious to me that the CDC and the White House will do anything from having any news punch holes in their vaccine story.
  8. That was true with the original strains and variants but not with Delta. People who are vaccinated have the same viral load in their body as unvaccinated and have the ability to spread it. This is the reason the CDC reimplemented their mask policy for vaccinated people. Also....I again chose to follow England who has already been dealing with this for months and has the data: https://www.reuters.com/world/uk/england-says-delta-infections-produce-similar-virus-levels-regardless-vaccine-2021-08-06/
  9. You can deny it if you want but there are "x" number of vaccine injuries that have occurred already in 12+. I am not saying its substantial but that 'x' amount exists. So why take on 'x' unless the benefit for taking the vaccine is not there. That is what the WHO is saying. Its suitable if needed but for the vast majority its not needed. Vaccines against diseases that have a MUCH higher risk to children. Also vaccines that have actually passed FDA approval. The reality is there are more deaths from the season flu than COVID for children. Were you out jamming needles in every kid for the flu?
  10. No...their reference is for 18 and under. They go on to say 12 and above CAN get it if: Again....its not needed for young people....only those with comorbidities or as they put it HIGH RISK. My reference to the WHO was young people (aka children). Never intended that cite to prove their intention on healthy adults and I wouldn't expect them to say it.
  11. Yup....that's why I clearly stated it was opinion. Of course when a study is released on the lockdown habits of the elderly then you will be the first to know! Until then I think its not far off to believe that the elderly are still living very conservative lives compared to younger folk.
  12. My comment was the WHO says they don't NEED the vaccine. You asking to show the WHO saying they "shouldn't" get vaccinated is moving the goal posts of the argument. They say in this article: Again, the risk to reward on this one is not worth it.
  13. But the rate doesn't change as you are claiming. I call serious BS on that. You think that the elderly are back to normal? In my opinion....not even close. By just my opinion.
  14. The political landscape in the US is way worse than the UK. Everything has agendas and its hard to find true data compared to 'stories' from the ER. Israel, the UK, Singapore have all had Delta and we are able to use objective numbers from there without a Trump versus Biden approach. Like I said, I really appreciate Ontario's initiative to show hard numbers based on vaccination status. Rather than having some anecdotal story, we can actually see hard numbers.
  15. Ok...but you won't like it https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/covid-19-vaccines/advice
  16. Again your article only discusses ratios and percentages. The elderly are locked away at this point and the young were coming off lockdowns. Did you ever stop to think that the number of young people might be increasing because they have the lions share of the cases? 19 and under are almost 20% of the cases so far....all the cases from 50 and up add up to 30%. More people infected means more chance of hospitalization.
  17. Yet you have no problem with the stat that all vaxx pushers use claiming 99% of covid deaths are in the unvaccinated? Even though the majority of deaths even occurred before vaccine roll outs. Of course in England, since February there has been 742 deaths from Delta. 253 with unvaccinated people.
  18. Young people with no comorbidities don't need the vaccine. Even the World Heath Organization agrees with me.
  19. Canada hasn't been hit strongly by Delta yet so there is no numbers. This is why I use regions like the UK to justify my reasoning. From the UK government: https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/healthandsocialcare/conditionsanddiseases/articles/coronaviruscovid19latestinsights/hospitals Its great to see the older groups coming down but according to this data, the younger groups are staying the same.
  20. Again, your article is quoting relative comparisons, not objective numbers. One thing that is not being talked about is the fact that seniors are still being locked down. Maybe not to the level they were at the start but many of them are still living very cautious lives unlike the 20 year olds who were like animals being released from a cage when the lockdowns ended. So instead of measuring ratios of 20 year old to 70 year olds hospitalized, one should measure the objective number.
  21. You really haven't been listening. Vaccines for people who need it not forced on those who don't. You have yet to show numbers that substantiate your claim. Anecdotal stories staying there are 'more' young people being affected mean what exactly. The numbers went from 2 to 3? Here are the deaths by age in Canada: https://www.statista.com/statistics/1228632/number-covid-deaths-canada-by-age/ And here are the hospitalizations by age in Canada: https://www.statista.com/statistics/1228610/number-covid-cases-hospitalized-canada-by-age/ Currently the rate of hospitalization for 0-19 is 0.5%. You're saying its going up to what? 0.6%. As I showed earlier, in England a large portion of hospitalized kids were obese. So if your child is in that category then get them the vaccine. If they have a comorbidity then get them the vaccine. Again, vaccination status is only one factor in what will get someone hospitalized and at this point I don't believe its the main factor. Speaking of hospitalizations and death, here are some interesting reads if you have time: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/07/26/exclusive-half-covid-hospitalisations-tested-positive-admission/ https://abc7news.com/covid-death-count-alameda-county-deaths-19-cases/10755419/ Hard to make objective decisions when you don't have the right numbers. Sorry bud. Even the developer of Astra Zeneca is now saying herd immunity is impossible. https://www.businessinsider.com/delta-variant-made-herd-immunity-not-possible-astrazeneca-developer-2021-8 Like I said, we have been chasing our tails on this from the start. Vaccines should have been given to the ones that need it. After that we will just have to deal with this as a long term reality.
  22. What is? You're saying that Robert Malone is not an expert on mRNA vaccines? Or that Luc Montagnier did not discover HIV? Are you also saying that other well educated doctors in the field of cardio pulmonary specialties aren't educated enough to have an opinion on this? That to me is the scariest part of this whole thing...the censorship. Go on Facebook right now and search Delta Variant or COVID. All you get is CDC literature. Are we living in North Korea? I would love to see true, honest debates on this but that is not happening because one side has zero willingness to engage in conversation. Is that science? Not a chance. The common argument among skeptics is not that it will kill you now but what long term effect this has on you. There have been zero long term studies done on these vaccines and no one can say there will not be issues down the road with something that is a) new to humans on large scale use b) is still not fully approved. Don't get me wrong, in light of these points I am still an advocate of the vaccine for the elderly and the immunocompromised as its worth the risk however I don't think billions of young heathy people should be injecting this without any consideration of what their doing. I also thought you said it wasn't all about deaths? How would you like your healthy 12 year old to get injured from a vaccine to protect him from something that has next to zero chance of killing him? But don't worry...if something did happen from the vaccine, we could just sue Pfizer....oh wait....right....
  23. Personally, the last time I was in a hospital bed was three days after taking the flu shot. Never took the shot again and have never been that sick again. Doctor said I had an adverse reaction so my personal situation is more unique than others I guess. I do my best to look at rational arguments and steer clear of anecdotal evidence or outright crazy sites. However, I do think its weird that the guy who invented the mRNA vaccine as well as the Nobel Prize winning doctor who discovered HIV as well as a former head researcher for Pfizer are all against against the vaccine. Of course you have many more credible, well educated doctors who when they speak out automatically get called quacks. The amount of censorship on this topic is appalling and definitely makes me think there are agendas at play which in turn adds to the hesitancy.
  24. Yes I agree with that rationale to a point. If you have 90% vaccination rate then you should expect a higher number of people who catch it and a higher number in the hospital. We saw that in England and Israel. On the latest PHE bulletin they show that 742 people have died from Delta since its arrival in February. Of that 253 were unvaccinated, 489 had some vaccination of some type. Does this show the vaccine doesn't work...no. It shows that the elderly and immunocompromised people are going to struggle with this regardless of their vaccination status (still a good idea to get it but ultimately it may not do anything for you). Of the 742 deaths, 71 were under the age of 50 with 48 being unvaccinated. So again....no guarantee that a vaccine will save you if you are young either. Multiple factors involved here, not just vaccination status. (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1009243/Technical_Briefing_20.pdf) This 'blog' is your proof of evidence? Even in your link I found this: “I don’t think there’s any good evidence yet about whether it causes more serious illness,” said Dr. Adam Ratner, an associate professor of pediatrics and microbiology at New York University’s Grossman School of Medicine. rice field. One thing I would caution you on is that what is happening in the US is NOT indicative of other places in the world. Again, I go back to the UK where they are on the backend of their Delta wave. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/global-health/science-and-disease/vaccine-uptake-obesity-surging-child-covid-hospitalisations/ From the article: In the UK the picture is very different, despite the country seeing a similar surge in delta cases. Doctors here report only a modest increase in Covid related hospital admissions of children and are not pushing for changes to UK vaccine policy, which recommends that children with underlying conditions or vulnerable carers are vaccinated. So why the difference? Are American doctors getting an early view of something that may later play out here, or do different social factors – such as vaccine uptake and obesity rates – better explain the divide? Paediatric critical care consultant Dr Ruchi Sinha told the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Coronavirus (APPG) yesterday that the delta wave had not so far resulted in a higher proportion of children being admitted to hospital in the UK. Indeed the incidence of the Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome (MIS-C) which Covid sparks in some children seemed to be at lower levels now than it had in previous waves, she said. The majority of children being admitted to hospital with Covid in the UK had underlying conditions, notably obesity, she added. “I do think we should be offering the vaccine to children who are vulnerable and more likely to suffer,” said Dr Sinha. Vaccination status does not tell the story. In fact its only part of the story and people need to realize this before we further divide our country with vaccine passports.
  25. Show me the numbers, not examples. I can show you examples of kids getting injured by the vaccine too but I think its fair to say that pulling a few examples does not prove a point. Even the WHO doesn't advise to vaccinate under 18 knowing the risk to benefit significantly diminishes with lower ages. No. They have proven these strains are more transmissible but nothing has been proven to show these strains make people sicker. Delta has been around since August of 2020...well before any vaccination roll out. Lets assume the vaccines were all ready to go day one and could be administered globally in a short time....then and only then would we have a chance to stop viruses. The fact is that we already have a strain (Delta) that is transmissible among vaccinated people so the ability to stop mutants is now gone unless they create another vaccine and we go though this hopeless process again. The bottom line is a fully vaccinated person carries as much viral load now as an unvaccinated person, so mutant strains are inevitable. Eventually everyone will have seen a strain of this and we will become endemic. You have seen the the reports from PHE and the CDC right? I assumed you had but maybe you haven't. Fully vaccinated people are spreading it just as much as unvaccinated. Being vaccinated does not stop the spread for this strain. The Delta is a game changer and people need to become more informed of what the vaccine can and can't do. So can the vaccine. Again....numbers matter. Most posts of unvaccinated young people dying are usually obese people. (not trying to be rude but its true). Other posts don't actually list if there were comorbidities or not. There are some surprise deaths among totally healthy people but those numbers are ridiculously low (comparable to deaths caused by the vaccine). If you have time, google "healthy man (or woman) dies of flu". It happens every year that regular healthy people die from it. Covid is no different. This issue is not simple and to truly evaluate it you need more data than we are being presented. Interestingly enough, the province of Ontario is now tracking hospitalizations by vaccination status. https://covid-19.ontario.ca/data At this point 66% of people in the hospital are unvaccinated but all the people in ICU are vaccinated (partlially or fully). I would like to see more of this data as this goes on.
