The dialogue and discussion that the Idle No More 'movement' has heard several First Nations folks to question the spending of their own band councils. The audit of of the Attawapiskat books is likely the first of many. If there is one thing I have learned during this excercise, it is about equality. It turns out the First Nations politicians are equally as corrupt and incompetant as their federal and provincial government counterparts. Sleazy politicians come in all flavours.

A decent secular education is the enemy of this kind of terrorism. An educated population would be a hard place to recruit suicide bombers and terrorists. Sadly much of what passes for 'education' is taught by religious zealots who have no real interest in facts or history unless it can somehow be twisted to support their particular mantra. There is apparently no shortage of religous zealots, and therein lies the problem. That is nothing new.

Well now we know why Cheryl Crow dumped him.

This proves that a majority government in Canada is a dangerous thing - regardless of the party. With a minority government, things take a lot longer to get done. That means things get screwed up more slowly. Then we at least have half a chance to put the brakes on.
