The 'palestinians' are a recent creation of Yassir Arafat and the PLO; Arafat needed to give this rag-tag group of displaced Arabs which none of the surrounding states would take in as refugees a name and story to crate sympathy in nations outside the Middle East. He succeeded and has western nations feeding the squatters through the United Nations while Arab nations supply them with arms and propaganda to stir up anger at Israel. There are no far more dupes (dopes) supporting this insanity from outside the Middle East than there are 'palestinians'. Why doesn't Europe throw open its doors to immigrants from Gaza and the West Bank and solve the problem overnight?

What "sides"? Israel is a sovereign nation responsible for and to its people. Hamas is a lawless organization of murderous terrorists who represent no one but themselves. Lawless terrorist groups do not have a side in international affairs.

What 2004 coalition? The LPC had 135 seats, the CPC 99 seats, the BQ 54 and the NDP 19. The CPC and BQ could have defeated the LPC at any time. What we had at the time was the NDP supporting the LPC and the CPC and BQ forming the opposition with independents as wild cards. Since the 1960s we have been building a proportion of our society that has no respect for our institutions or laws. These wise guys and gals think speed limits are for losers, that 'the man' has no business telling them that they can't toke, that they should be able to wear their tattoos and body piercings anywhere, that only fools get married, that only idiots go to church, that casual sex is better than none, and that if it feels good do it. They tend to be brash, impolite, unmannerly, selfish, hedonistic and amoral. They tend to think that pregnancy is an accident and nuisance visited on them by some angry deity but want help if they get in an accident, get pregnant or, heaven forbid, get arrested and charged with a crime. These people think it is fine to phone or text or toke or drink while speeding and weaving in and out of traffic because they have important stuff to do. They are, thank God, an immature and irresponsible minority, but if you dig a little, they are the main proponents of legalizing pot. They don't care about society, peace, order or security or anything or anyone. All they want is for society to allow them a selfish entitlement to toke. They are the despotic, useless, whining, snivelling brats who infest our society and refuse to grow up and take personal responsibility. The notion that some people like to indulge in Marijuana, therefore it should be legal is silly. People in need can now get a prescription for medial use of pot, but like Valium, pot is a controlled substance. So is morphine and numerous other narcotics and narcotic derivatives.

This thread is entitled "Government introduces tough anti-gang legislation". Why are you whining about cannabis - afraid your supply may disappear? How come dealers raided happen to have 1) lots of drugs other then mj; and 2) lots of guns and ammunition? You really want these dudes living next door when rival gang-bangers drop by?
