  1. Actually, you posted that and it was from May. I posted that 23 settlements along with a wider freeze was in the works. http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3743001,00.html This is part of the wider peace initiative and details on a freeze. Your insults and anger are getting pretty common in your posts. As I said, I have seen it happen enough times to wonder if you are letting your anger get the best of you.
  2. Really? Where? Mitchell goes back in a few days to discuss the freeze.
  3. Latest Ekos poll: http://www.reuters.com/article/marketsNews...943732020090709 I expect the Tories will continue rising through the summer barring any major incidents.
  4. To whit I said the deal also includes a deal on a freeze on new settlements and expropriation that were planned for this year. You have those numbers? Perhaps you were not reading my full response which included the freeze and no new settlements. Mitchell was briefing the President about how it would work and he heads back to the Middle East next week to continue the process. The next step was Israel opening the Jordan-Israeli border 24 hours a day which they did yesterday. The next stage is the Egyptian and Israeli presidential meetings and the return of an Israeli soldier from Gaza. That triggers the next main settlement decision beyond a freeze. Why don't you get a grip on your insults? I have seen a few like yourself who end up getting suspended for lack of control.
  5. The Tories seem to be going to great lengths in distancing themselves from gays. However, they have been funding a few gay organizations through different miniseries for a while now. Are they all going to be cut off? http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/f...activities.aspx The list goes on for a while. Will all these minister's face anger in caucus?
  6. The delivery times for these purchases appear to be long after Canada is out of Afghanistan. I still don't trust the prices quoted. We never get equipment at the price quoted. It is always a lot more.
  7. Well, good luck. Layton is hurting the party and you know it.
  8. In third place or lower.
  9. If the NDP ever did become government and I think it would take a miracle, here is what would happen: The NDP PM would say that Senate reform was not one of their election priorities. If they were foolish enough to attempt to abolish the Senate, they would run smack dab into at least four provinces or more that would oppose them. You need 10 provinces and the Federal government to approve abolition. If the NDP attempted to not fill Senate seats, the Governor General would do it for them. After all the constitutional talks (which no doubt would involve Quebec and First Nations wanting in on other areas), the NDP would find they were in the same position as Mulroney: Back to leaving things as is: In all probability the NDP would give up or face election punishment. If the NDP chose not to have Senate reform as government, I expect you would think it was a brilliant strategy and say it is not part of their election platform anyway.
  10. That wasn't a surprise. You were expecting that Layton would be the next PM like he was saying last election? I fully expect the NDP to lose seats this next election in part because of Layton.
  11. The game the NDP plays is to blame the Liberals for an election and then when they don't one, they blame the Liberals for not having an election. It is going to be quite satisfying to see the NDP lose seats come election time.
  12. How old are you? The level of childishness is sometimes overwhelming. Given the public opinion polls on all the parties, the public certainly doesn't think highly of any of the game playing. If they thought the NDP was golden, they'd be government now.
  13. All the other parties have been ready to blame the Liberals for any election while taking no responsibility for their no compromise positions. Not surprisingly, many voters think all parties are acting stupidly.
  14. You're changing your story. You said Canada should not be sending troops to enforce our will. Now, since it is a NDP policy, it is brilliant?
  15. Of course it does. The NDP wanted to send troops to Darfur. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/stor...60507/20060508/
  16. Keep it up. Don't know if it will help you win more seats.
  17. And that leader says settlements are illegal, accepts two states as a solution and believes in the process of the roadmap. Tell me the NDP is different.
  18. And this is why the NDP can't get ahead.
  19. Actually, no. As I said: 10 out of 10 for abolition. That's the constitution. If the NDP can't deliver that, they would have no choice but to live with a Senate. And if they wouldn't appoint Senators, the Governor General would. And if you want to get rid of the Governor General. Ditto. It requires 10 out of 10. You are misinformed about 7 out of 10. That is for amendments not wholesale Constitutional change.
  20. We haven't. We have sent aid to Palestine even when other nations didn't.
  21. I can imagine that if there was no equalization, Manitoba would lower all its standards on health, social services and the like since there would be no federal standard and trying to compete with resource based economies would be too costly. As in the old days, I suspect the province would put people on a bus and send them elsewhere. Likely, Alberta.
  22. Enough talk. Tell me how the NDP would fulfill this promise of ending the Senate.
  23. So you believe in withdrawing from Israel, pulling our ambassador and full sanctions.
  24. So...an election every week.
