  1. "he's no as defensive as before"? WTH does THAT mean? Well duh.... If I was busted for murder and facing years in jail I wouldn't be "so defensive" either! Love to hear feedback on this. "nah, we don't need more jails", we just need less defensive people....
  2. Will it pass? Should it pass? How will this impact union membership? Will be interesting considering how Michigan voted yesterday
  3. LL.M? Again, the discrepancies between Denmark,USA, Finland, India and the UK amount to more that 4 years... But they are all masters degrees. Should we just drop them in?
  4. We aren't talking about the teachers holding students and parents hostage in this thread Cyber.. This one is about the indians
  5. Absolutely I do! No one can negotiate a deal that's great for ME other than myself. I'm a big strong boy... Free mind and will. I don't need to be held back by slower "bretheren".
  6. I have as well, but it turns out the Dentist who was a great dentis was not accredited to Canadian standards with the knowledge of Anesthetics or alergic reactiosn.. He was very upset that he needed to take 1.5 years to MEET the canadian standards.... Should we have paid as a taxpayer for that? There is a REASON Canada has standards.. I dont want Marc to slack them off thanks very much... nor do I want to pay for someone elses Eductaion to MEET those standards....
  7. Wich could result in the exposing of thier Salary! Its all about the Money Jacee... All about the money....
  8. UPDATE: The Attawapiskat chief will fast in two teepees set up for her. She will stay in a teepee on Parliament Hill during the day, and in another on Victoria Island Read more: http://www.ottawacitizen.com/news/Update+Attawapiskat+chief+begins+hunger+strike+treaty+meeting/7678580/story.html#ixzz2Es4Nuefs Now its turned into a "Fasting"...... She must be hungry. "HUNGER STRIKE" is OFF
  9. How does he expect to pay for all of these pie in the sky ideas? And I quote: "While this may cost the federal government in the short-run" And I quote: " helping new Canadians achieve the accreditation necessary to work in their field of expertise; and (paid by YOU) helping them get the necessary Canadian job experience. "By reducing the total cost of employing a young person, more young people will be employed" So lower wages to employ more?? How does he pay for this????? I will quote him: "The obvious solution: immigration!" Final quote: "I am a Liberal" Yup, we figured that Marc!
  10. What about workers like Bricklayers and carpenters and Masons, hell, evenn parts and Auto suppliers that dont want to belong to a union.. Im assuming you would be ok with them Opting out and working side by side with the union Bretheren?
  11. Here, Try this link http://ca.news.yahoo...x-watchdog.html ""There's a pretty atrocious example coming from [the] Maritimes, $978,000 tax-free … for someone off-reserve," Why is Theresa Spence "Angry" about releasing the Salay's then? I may want to point out that they want to see the SALARY per Chief.... NOT "earnings" as your Martin example. SALARY for being a CHIEF.... Not Salary for being a chief + Cigarette sales + Casino shares + whatever... Salary for being a CHIEF!
  12. I have multiple roles too! Payrole, Sales, Logistics.. ect etc.. That 7 pager is a laugh.... please see : "Obviously, where there are fiscal improprieties, these should be addressed" "While First Nations are themselves aware of the challenges that exist within their communities regarding transparency and accountability" "While any abuse or misspending is wrong, with 3,297 First Nation elected officials in Canada, it must be pointed out that this is absolutely not the norm as the CTF would suggest." (Not the Norm huh?) You may want to note that that letter brings into account "ELECTED Officials" as well! Its the CHIEFS that oppose this! Not the Elected officials... I find it odd that the word "Chief" is only mentioned 2 times in that lengthy Press Relesase from the Chiefs...
  13. Thats simply horrible.... Shes on a "Hunger strike" dont you know..... AKA- a diet
  14. When her own people want to see here finances,, why wont she open up? Is SHE the one whos making in excess of 850K/year?? I find the timing odd in relationship to the below.... Maybe a bit "fishy" if you will http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/chiefs-deride-native-transparency-act/article4614583/
  15. Again, the REAL reason... Just kinda burried... They are angry over a number of bills before Parliament, including one that would force First Nations to disclose their financial statements and the salaries of chiefs and councillors. Theresa Spence is the same one that held Attawapiskat residents hostage with minimal housing and refusing to allow the 3rd party into manage/monitor expenditures. IMO, She does not care for her own people...
  16. He didnt even say what "special tax"! Tax on Cigs? Thats a special tax! Tax on Gas? Thats a special tax too! Thank you Marc... Your a godsend
  17. The ONLY thing he even SAID in this article was: “get rid of special tax preferences and make our tax system more efficient.” Wow, Thats a very deep plan man..... Very deep... If hes goona rely on the Globe and Mail to fill in the Gaps,, He may just continue with this great success! WHat Plan???? WHAT PLAN????? The Article was 98 percent Globe and Mail assumptins and fondling lolol
  18. Endenchured servants to the Union dues.... I have self respect...
  19. Lets say you lived in Campbellville, Where the only real employer is Mohawk Race-track. Lets say you are desperate for work,, but can not join the union based on morals and your own principals. Is it fair for a Union to force you to join,,, or remain un-employed? What about a choice to remian out of the union and still work? To "de-certify" a union,, dont you need to belong to one?
  20. Im well aware... Im also aware of the $978,000 Paid to a Cheif.. I for one, am A-OK with any and all amendments being made to the Indian Act via bill C-45. The miscairage of justice to the Indian population has gone on far too long... Please be aware that i can cite many Indians who are FOR the changes... They do not all believe the Chiefs.
  21. Incorrect.. See the link and whats shaken out today in Michigan. http://www.thestar.com/news/world/article/1300449--michigan-braces-for-right-to-work-fight-on-traditional-union-turf#comments EG: To work at a Horse-race track in Ontario.. you MUST join the OJC... Or no work... Forcing people to be unionized or "no work".... Get your facts straight
  22. I would more accuratly say the Unions and workers managed this inflated salary.. Maybe you dont recall the actions taken in the below link ... here is a snapshot That agreement includes wage increases of between 2.25 and 2.5 percent in each year of a four-year deal, retroactive to August, 2003—well short of the wage hikes the union had been seeking to achieve parity with the private sector. The PSAC had been seeking increases of as much as 3 percent a year, while the Treasury Board began negotiations with an offer of 5.75 percent over three years. http://www.wsws.org/articles/2004/oct2004/psac-o14.shtml "Management" did not approve of the actions or demands and hence a strike... By the Workers, By the Unions
  23. You must have a strong stomach... Good for you Michael... So you seem fine with the 114K/A.
  24. Simple... NO-WHERE in Theresa Spences comments during her hunger Strike does she mention the Navicable Waters Act. NO WHERE! She does say, and i quote: “It’s time for the Prime Minister to honour it and respect our leaders" - See wants respect "“As we speak, our people are suffering because of the situation that’s made by the government". With a chief making 978,000 in a town of 304.. ya, Its about sheltering finances from the rest of the band and keeping the money flowing
  25. Yes, "Great Point". Thats $435K in pensions? Again, the Average houshold income was 71K in 2010.. Between 2 people.. Even if a single public servant made 71K,, to total 114K/A would mean $43,000 in "Penions" per year... Again, the $114,000.00 is the "Average" as per the article... Pensions and benefits removed or not, thats sickening.
