I dont trust Harper with a majority. Hes already pushed some good issues (like raising the age of consent for minors from 14 to 16), but stepped backwards on others (gay marriage, decriminalization of marihuana). I think he would do damage to Canada with a majority. Off topic. Not that I would trust Dion. I simply don't think he has what it takes to run the country in any degree.

Its disgusting that any child is put with any adults. Period. Those responsible should be punished. And rape is despicable for anyone. Those committing such an offence, in my opinion are beyond redemption and are not going to be rehabilitated, and thus are a waste of space in prison. But then all the lefties think we should just coddle them and read stories, hold hands and sing till they get out and do it again. Wouldnt want to offend their rights.

Theres a difference. Guns are not a prohibited weapon. Tasers are. Lots of guns out there. Not many tasers. Why? Not nearly effective for crime. Once again i think some people think officers should carry pillows, bring a lefty civilian with them to take notes, and they should just ask people nicely to put the handcuffs on and pretty much put themselves in prison. And when they are done, they can apologize for being an officer.

i dont think you will find your boogey man. The police, the government, the lawyers, the judges........you seem to be against anyone with authority. The world must turn, and these people do their best. Yes they make mistakes, yes there are bad apples, but no more then bad plumbers, mechanics, nurses, etc. stop looking for people to blame. sober up, get a job, pay your taxes, and just try and be happy.

omg. so what will happen if we ban tasers? will people go to the black market for them? still, makes you think about a legal over the counter and prescription medication that kills so many, yet nobody seems to bat an eye. kidney failure due to tylenol dialysis on the house for everyone!

thats a stupid statement. cigarrettes, alcohol and automobiles are sold and they cause a billion times more deaths then tasers. as for being tasered in training, its voluntary for some forces, mandatory in others. anybody that wants to use the taser, in my belief shoudl be tasered so that they can articulate its effects and use in court. but then again ive been electrocuted a half dozen times, taser included just for fun. see mom, no side effects.

Tylenol appears to kill more people then Tasers. In fact, pharmacists, with 7 years of extensive university training, are dolling this stuff out like candy. Kind of felt nostalgic with all the talk of banning the Taser, so I thought I would ask people their thoughts on OC spray. I notice that the starter of this thread is banned. In any event, I don't think the issue of superiority of culture is really an issue.....because for better or worse, the "culture" that we live in now is a blend of many many cultures....and the "whites" that stole the land from the "indians" didnt live as we do now either. Yes the indians have gotten lazy and forgotten their values, but so have the whites. People in general dont know how to survive without handouts....they simply want to be spoon fed everything. The aboriginals will NEVER go back to their old way of live. This may be unfortunate in some views but its reality. And you cant have your cake and eat it too. I didnt steal anyones property. I shouldnt have to pay someone else for a theft that happened a hundred years ago. Cut the ties that bind. Tough love sucks, but sometimes its the best thing. Kill the reserves, and welfare traps. Give the people something. Make it valuable. Let them work it, sell it whatever. And tax em to death just like the rest of us. Just make sure it goes to individuals directly and not to the chiefs to distribute. Because they already have enough riches. Just like the white chiefs do.
