28 pages, no real science, nothing but "why will you not discuss the science" comments. Now I see the truth. It was there the whole time and yet I failed to realize it. Mr. Khadr, how much do you get paid for sending people to the ae911 website and those specific YouTube videos? At what number of views do the advertising rates go up enough to make it worthwhile posting on all of these discussion forums? What AdShare "partner level" are you at with Google/YouTube?

Eyeball - doubtful. If he had committed the same acts against one of the "other side" I have no doubt at all they would have put him to death fairly quickly.
-
drummin....be careful of those forum rules. You wouldn't want to be "promoting or inciting murder". Just sayin.
-
YOU are trying to make reference to forum rules? Really??
-
Has he been pardoned? No. Has he been acquitted? No. Is he still a prisoner of a Canadian prison? Yes. Why? Because he was found guilty and Canadian courts upheld this conviction. Why? Because he's a murderous piece of garbage. No debate there is possible.
-
Makes no difference. He's on Canadian soil and in Canadian prison. Canadian judges rein supreme here. If they felt he was innocent, they could have pardoned him and released him. They haven't. Wonder why not.... Oh ya...they believe he's guilty. Because he murdered US citizens.
-
Really? Happen to know any by name?
-
So he's been granted an acquittal and released as a free man? Please supply a cite because I must have missed that. He is now under Canadian legal control and yet his guilt has obviously been upheld or he would have been released. Doesn't matter what the SCC believes about Gitmo; Khadr is still a prisoner in the Canadian legal system. People found innocent are not sent to prison.
-
The Canadian courts disagree with you 100%.
-
I believe we have quite a lengthy thread(s) already going on capital punishment if you want to continue this part of the debate. Your choice.
-
You didn't ask me if I thought it would happen, only if I would prefer it did. And I do. I also find it curious how several members here are so quick to point to the US for examples of what went wrong with things, but abhor referring to the same country when they do something better than Canada.
-
Absolutely. With haste preferably.
-
And I sincerely hope you are 100% wrong.
-
I don't believe anyone convicted of murder should be allowed bail. So I am according him the same as "others get" if the choice were mine. So I don't think there's any further reason for me to "prove he's a terrorist" since we both now agree the Canadian courts agree that he is guilty. edit->sp

I understood it from the beginning. You were the one who kept changing their mind.
-
Then by all means report me to the RCMP. They can find me quite easily through the information MLW has on me. Go ahead. I'll wait here for them.

I absolutely understand what his guilty plea means. In fact, I posted a link for you that contains it. First you state that he was not convicted, then you state that he was convicted, now you are off on the "plead guilty" tangent. Perhaps the question should be "do YOU understand what that means.." Khadr plead guilty and was convicted. Subsequently, he was put in jail. Following that he was transferred to Canada and again put in jail. He is now being granted bail, which people who are not convicted do not receive because they do not need it. If he were to be found not guilty in Canada, he would have had his conviction overturned and been acquitted or been discharged. Now, do you or do you not think he was convicted?
-
Please point out the words that you think I used to that are "threats" or are "inciting violence". If you want to accuse me of it, make sure you're damn accurate in what you write.
-
Uhm.....
-
YOU are the one who said he hadn't been convicted, not me. Try to stay on one side or the other if you can.
-
Why would I hope no one does? Where did I "incite" anyone? Do you happen to recall the words "state-condoned" or are you choosing to ignore that portion? I would be quite happy to see him pay the proper penalty for his crimes (ie. capital punishment), but if it can't be done in Canada, then by all means extradite him.
-
Last time I checked, no one goes to prison without a conviction. Is there a new set of laws that you're familiar with? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conviction
-
Why would I have to prove that? As far as I can tell, his conviction is not being overturned - just being granted bail. I don't have to prove he's a terrorist since courts have already decided that. Has his conviction been overturned and we all just missed it?
-
It is unlikely he'll meet with anything other than extreme contempt and potential danger if he steps outside Edmonton into any of the surrounding areas. His only hope is not to use his real name (since so many people have no idea what he actually looks like) and to stay to the "progressive" parts of the city. Regardless of what the courts may decide is or is not legal with regards to his release, there are far more people out here that won't care (you know, the people that you, Gosthacked and OGFT don't like). edit->sp

I welcome any challenge towards my ideas. What I don't welcome is some self-appointed father figure deeming it necessary to scold me. Preschool indeed.
