Like what? What is wrong with having trust in the government and the RCMP? And keep in mind there are police officers outside the RCMP as well... the actions of the RCMP do not reflect on TPS, OPP, or any other organization.
-
So do you mean all of those police officers are corrupt and/or corruptible or is it just a few?
-
So?
-
Any reasons as to why I shouldn't trust the police you would like to share with us?
-
I have more faith in professionalism of the law enforcement.
-
So what is the evidence you have for this fairy tale?

While they are on the job, they are an employee, plain and simple once they take of any uniform and go to the bar they can badmouth whoever they want as long as they don't go around identifying themselves as an employee of this department and then engage in negative comments.
-
Hi, Im a parks Canada employee and I have a problem with XYZ... or Wearing a nice little uniform that states you are a parks Canada employee and making those comments or Or doing so while on the job...
-
This to me is reasonable, you can criticize your employer as long as you do it in an appropriate manner, meaning as a private citizen rather then an employee of Parks Canada.

More Fiscal Incompetence from the Conservatives

What is the primary mission of NATO? Somehow I doubt the US will care wether we are a democracy or not if they have to take a greater role in our defence because we don't want to spend the money. What is the primary mission of NATO? Again, having allies with a common enemy is one thing, but our primary ally for better or worse is the US. We can be allied to Russia and China and Iran, but if it comes to war or at the very least a "cold war" scenario with the US we know who our only choice for an ally will be. I was stating that state of the art equipment does not make a crappy military great, and lack of equipment or obsolete equipment does not necessarily make a an army bad. Competent Soldiers and leadership makeup for shortcomings in equipment, while good equipment does not necessarily make up for incompetence. Or present a balanced proposal, and explaining why help is needed as opposed to claiming its internal conflict so we stay out, or argue for months wether its ethnic cleansing or genocide. http://www.nato.int/cps/en/natolive/official_texts_17120.htm And our nation interests dictate that we do not join the Warsaw Pact or any variation thereof should it ever be resurrected to counter balance America's power. And it served the British Empire quite well to equip those who couldn't afford to equip themselves properly, and promptly use those nations to wage war. The question here is, does the US want to help equip armies that have training that meets NATO's standards in order for those armies to assist in a war, or does the US want to keep its equipment for itself while sending Americans to fight all by themselves. -
Probably is not very definitive.

And what did your post have to do with?
-
Thats YOUR opinion, not a fact.
-
Really? You think that if the TPS was investigating the PM or someone close to the PM for corruption they could be silenced? Or that the RCMP cannot be discrete about their investigations?
-
So you think that the PM can say that and call the military? You do know that the Queen has some powers and her representative could exercise said powers if the PM is overstepping his legal boundaries? Or do you know that the Military can refuse illegal orders?
-
Do you even think before you post?
-
So you think that if there is an investigation the government can silence it?
-
On what ground? How would the PM explain having to mobilize the military? Detain them for how long? Where?
-
It will do quite a lot of good, as it is their job to investigate crimes.
-
Really? And what will the military do?
-
If you witnessed corruption, and you have evidence to back up those claims then you go to the appropriate authority. If you "witness" corruption and you have no proof you keep your mouth shut until such a time when you can prove your statements, or you go to the proper authorities so they can investigate the matter.
-
Oh wow, so now the PM is like Paul Bernardo? And I HIGHLY doubt that soldiers will be in the streets of any Canadian City unless there is a legitimate reason.
-
Democratically elected government therefore you follow directions, without regard to your opinion of the leader of the party in power.
-
You serve the government that is elected, regardless of the party or your personal opinions. Your allegiance is to the government of Canada one elected a party becomes the legal government of Canada and therefore its orders should be followed.
-
No, I am answering a point, you cannot compare our PM to a brutal dictator and say that he deals with dissident in the same way if in Canada you fire fire them while in the other country you fire AT them.
