At enormous cost, Canada has managed to lower its CO2 emissions by 62mt since 2005. Yayyy, right? Oh, by the way, China has increased its CO2 emissions by 5,595 mt since 2005.
Oh well.

It really underscores the sheer folly of what we're trying to do.
There's also a lot of under-reporting. Most likely Canada didn't lower its emissions, and the numbers were massaged to the greatest extent possible.
Even at face value, sad useless effort.
