Sorry, but I have to interject here. You say you have no strong opinion yet your signature is a blog by you beginning with "I believe Climate Change is caused by humans because of four points:". Also, as for proving, you are a person that pushes and demands proof for things you do not agree with and yet, when asked for proo fof your comments or settlements, you say your statements cannot be proven and that is the end of it now? When told some folks would not spend a penny out of their millions towards climate change issues, you become belligerent and obtuse. I choose to give to several charities and causes but because one is not climate change, you are very adamant that I am not worthy and claim I am trying to get under your skin. When it does not go your way, you become very defensive and claim no one want to talk to you. In fact, there are many retorts to your posts, you are unwilling to accept most of them. I certainly would not use my personal money. i can though and might do things to decrease my personal footprint. Taxing the entire citizenry of a country that is a minuscule player is not only unreasonable, it is unfair and, hurts the economy and makes the poor poorer. And most importantly, not being able to prove it has done anything on the grand scheme of the climate thing. EDIT: I do believe there is a climate change issue. But to make the last place team pay the fines for the first team players is very wrong.

As far as planting trees is concerned, we are and have been planting many millions of trees annually for many decades. One million more is meaningless . I m glad I made you aware of the huge tree planting effort that has been ongoing by governments and the forest indutry.

I do not in any way defend the carbon tax. To blame it on trudeau is not quite fair though. Some provinces had it before he made it a national issue and some province do not get anything from the feds for it because they have their own and all they collect is for themselves. PP will get so much pressure, if he "axe the tax" he will very soon thereafter have something quite simlar in place. Again, I am not sure what "tech" you are talking abotu and for what? As for tree planting. Nothing new here. I am from BC and as a young person way back in the stone age (?) we were planting trees. I did it for 3 days and said this is the crappiest job ever and quit LOL. The logging companies were mandated to plant a lot more trees than they cut. That has been going on forever.

My relative, a cop, says the cameras on as soon as it is taken out of it's charger. They cannot turn them off. Then, at end of shift, go into he "charger" ,data is downloaded and stored and ready for the next cop. \Not sure if they are all like that but the ones on his force are.

As for the economic part of this, when only a small number of countries, and they are the ones least polluting, enforce significant economic burden on their citizen, it is an issue that is absolutely useless. While the climate problem is real, making life difficult by climate taxation on Canadians is laughable. i realize and understand your posts are main scientific but our governments fight is using economic weapons.
