You still refuse to see the media for what it is...a political tool. The news media is supposed to seek and report the truth and facts in an unbiased way. To tell the public what is happening and hold the government to account. That's call "journalism". What we have now is politically motivated activism. A couple young men lit a campfire in an apartment building. It did not burn long and caused very little damage. Normally this would not even be reported. But the "activists" took the opportunity to lay blame on protesters for political reasons. They did so to plant the idea in people's heads. That is not "journalism". The news media is corrupt and needs to be defunded.!

I'm not blue collar...haven't been for decades. Besides...I have a few skeletons in my closet that would not look good were they dragged out during any sort of campaign.

The institutions...or a lot of them anyway...are semi-necessary. What they need is an enema. I wouldn't know how else to straighten this mess out...without breaking a few things...or people... I think we need someone out of the blue. NOT a politician. Maybe even a blue collar person. A person with strong principals and the balls to do what actually good for Canadians and not what's good for his or her bank account. Someone who will make Canada strong, prosperous and respected. I also think the CBC needs to be reduced to local talent only and just showcase that. As for the rest of the "media"...all government subsidies end and may only be requested for again once they exhibit a willingness to REPORT THE NEWS and not editorialize or other wise warp reality in order to express their fucking precious FEELINGS.! That would be a good start.

You have to remember that by the time this convoy started, our PM, his government, the medical profession, the media and countless other "trusted institutions", had just been shown to have lied about the severity of The Rona and were still strengthening restrictions on folks, even though the death rate was plummeting. They had gutted thousands of small businesses, forced people to submit to at least 2 rounds of experimental treatments being jabbed into them, celebrated first responders nightly with banging pots and pans outside in the evening and turned around a shat on them with jab restrictions, ignored known and approved cheaper treatments completely, outright LIED about the number of deaths as a result of The Rona, and after all this...they told truckers who basically live in their truck cabs, that they had to have 2 jabs or couldn't cross the border. The proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back." You should also remember that how the media reported this rather lame arson attempt, was gross. "Blame the protesters!" What childish horse shit! Irresponsible as hell too. I have no trust, what so ever, in Canadian "institutions" anymore. The Government...the media...the education system...are corrupt to the core.! Finally...so we've now decided protests can be called "illegal occupation" now have we? Tell me...who's attacking Democracy?

This is just a tad different. Were that things were normal again. But they are not. The population has been abused and lied to for years now. And the last 3 years have been the crowning achievement. I think I can help with that. What it "did"...is open the eyes of millions of Canadians. The issue here...IMO...is one of "trust". I've had many discussions...some heated and some rational...with folks in here and 1 thing now seems clear to me. People who cannot admit the institutions we have built in Canada...and the US for that matter...would lie to them, must maintain their "trust" in the institutions. I feel this might have been amplified by the presidency of Trump, but it all really comes down to a question of simple "trust". Do I trust the various institutions? For the most part...no. Nor do you. And since the convoy, an exponential increase has happened in others who no longer can "trust" our institutions. This Libbie movement...this SJW operetta...this dance with the Devil...this Globalist movement is being shown and finally realized and acknowledged for what it really is. Fascism. Yet I choose to have faith in people. They are awakening and we will halt this adoration of societal abuse. This is gonna sound really weird coming from me but...re-read Revelations.

Yes...an assault. If you look the word up, you'll see it fits perfectly. There have been multiple assaults on Canadians over the last decade or so. Too many of us have been watching on...shaking our heads...and wondering if anyone else sees this, or am I nuts? Much to my delight...turns out I'm not nuts. Tons of folks see this. Hell people I'd never have expected, see this clear as day. I think...and this is only my opinion but...I think it might be because, in order to accept what we all see, one must maintain a level of trust in Canadian institutions. As Canadians lose that trust, this assault becomes visible to more and more. When societal abuse becomes the accepted norm, we will see a gradual decline to a dictatorial structure. Once such a structure takes hold, and after about 2 years of nice social decline, there will be many who will be heard at gatherings saying, 'But how could we have known THIS would happen?' I've heard that very statement...in Prague years ago. Be on guard.
