  1. If that's what I thought I would have said that. I was just contradicting your suggestion that the Coronapocalypse would be the death of the Schengen zone and free movement throughout the EU. That's just wishful thinking.
  2. That was kinda my point really, no amount of shuting down airlines coming from China was going to stop the spread. All it would have done was slow it down a bit. They were fleeing Wuhan in cars and spreading it to places like Hongkong as soon as they started welding people into their homes.
  3. It would have worked in Alien if Ripley had done it. Genociding 1.3 billion Chinese might get some blowback from the bleeding heart liberals though.
  4. And my contribution was to say it didn't help us here it just came into the country from somewhere else. Only shutting down all international travel as soon as it was first recorded in Wuhan would have made any difference. That or taking off and nuking China from orbit.
  5. Which part of ''The virus came to the UK via holiday makers going on skiing trips to Italy'' led you to think I'm Canadian? Have you never heard of the Iceni? Do you even history bro?
  6. Flights from China stopped at the end of January and the virus came here via Italy. What part of that is untrue?
  7. She's retiring, I can't begrudge her that at the age of 93. Charlie is quite the authoritarian though and will give no quarter to his disreputable brother and his parasitic spawn.
  8. The lack of gay rights in Britain killed the one man who arguably did more to win the war than any other person including Churchill. A man called Alan Turing who was chemically castrated and comitted suicide as a result of prosecution for merely wanting to have same sex relationships.
  9. We stopped flights from China at thye end of January and put all returnees into quarantine. The virus came to the UK via holiday makers going on skiing trips to Italy.
  10. Let's hope isolation in Windsor castle and the best doctors money can buy will protect her from the Coronapocalypse. I'm not ready to say God save the King yet.
  11. Her Majesty doesn't suffer from narcissistic personality disorder though.
  12. Depends how many get through nomination before November. After that all bets are off unless Trump crowns himself king and suspends elections due to a national emergency
  13. Unless Coronavirus reduces it to 0-0. What's the average age of SCOTUS?
  14. He backtracked into making it optional after being confronted with the imorality of his suggestion. His first instinct was to suggest prisoners were expendable members of society.
  15. Pretty sure I've explained why it is wrong already Dr Mengele.
  16. It wasn't a threat. I don't have a helicopter and live thousands of miles away from you so am incapable of stringing you up from a lamp post even if I had the rope to spare. Stop being a baby.
  17. I'd only want you thrown out of a helicopter for littering. I wouldn't want anyone experimented on medically for any crime. That's Nazi death camp mentality and should be avoided at all costs.
  18. From what I've seen Charles has a perfectly working sense of humour.
  19. Medical experimements?
  20. I think you know I wasn't being serious. Interesting to watch you flip flop between fear of overreaching powers of those in charge and appeals for help from authority though.
  21. Now I'm really late but what's the boss going to do? Sack me?
  22. Both a virtue and a fault in my worthless civvy opinion. Anyway, I'm late for stock taking duties at the pub. Thank you for your service to her Majesty.
  23. They never really were, no one ever crossed the British border without being checked for eligability like you could in the Schengen zone. We even had the power to regulate the residential rights of fellow EU members but never exercised them because migration of labour was seen as mutually beneficial. The lack of EU migrants is already causing problems in many sectors of industry especially healthcare and agriculture which are particularly vital right now.
  24. I'm aware of your loyalty to your fellow men at arms and respect you for it. I think sometimes you forget that there are heros in all walks of life though. You only have to look at the men conscripted in the two world wars to see that doctors, shop keepers and even professional cricketers were perfectly capable of standing tall in times of dire need. I'm not suggesting that PC is one of them but you'd never find out for sure until shtf for real.
  25. We banned flights from China early on and put those returning on special flights into strict quarantine but it didn't help us much. The virus arrived here in the UK via Italy instead. I suspect that only a worldwide shutdown of all international travel would have made any real difference.
