Russia just went back to the Soviet Union model where the Ruble circulates only within Russia because no one wants it and the Russian people are cut off from switching to another currency so the Russian government can buy up dollars at a better exchange rate to prop up their ability to trade with other nations while being more reliant on the dollar then ever that's not economic strength, that's economic weakness if the Ruble is such a valuable and strong currency why would Russia be so worried about the Russian people fleeing to their competitors?
