Swing voters exist dude. Plenty of voters who voted for Obama voted for Trump, hence his success in the Rust Belt in key districts in swing states that voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012. Plenty of swing voters already voted for Trump in 2016, and more of them will vote for him in 2020, especially if the Democrats try to impeach. The Democrats buy the garbage, swing voters do not, and neither do Republicans. That's a winning coalition, don't need no stinking Demohacks to flip for the Democrats to commit political suicide on this one, alienating swing voters and firing up the Republicans is enough.
