Are humans really responsible for climate change?
Yzermandius19 replied to Canuck100's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yeah, they don't have a plan, but they want the government to take over our lives anyway. Anyone on that side can suck a bag of dicks. Either get a plan, or stop bitching about inaction, because counter-productive action is just going to make the problem worse. -
Elizabeth May wants to fight against Québec

They shouldn't vote for progressives, because progressives will just sabotage their cause due to naive wishful thinking and intentions taking precedence over results and facts. The very groups they care so much about helping are helped the least when progressives get elected, if they actually care about results for the cause they claim to champion, then it's time for progressives to stop voting for progressives, because they don't get the job done. -

The White House let everyone see the call. There was no crime, and there was no cover up, all you are doing is grasping at straws. The transcript showed that Democrats jumped the gun on a nothing burger again, but just like the last nothing burger they jumped the gun on, they refuse to admit that they made an obvious mistake and double down on the derp. -

Who cares what team he's on. What matters is what team are you on? Are you on the: 1. Climate change is happening, and if we don't give control of our lives to the government, that means people need to be forced to do so, because we're all going to die if they don't! 2. I have a plan that isn't counter-productive to the cause, there is no need for the Climate Doomsday Bullsh*t. If you are on team 1, then I don't care how dumb you think the other team 1 is, because the team 1 I am talking about is even dumber than that, by several orders of magnitude. -

Invoking doom becomes a self fulfilling prophecy, but it's doom for the lefties, while they think it will be the doom for the far-right, so they accelerate themselves right off the cliff and bring about the rise of the very group they are so worried about stopping. Can't say we didn't warn them. -
Free speech haters like you are booing them off the stage, not for anything they are saying, but because you don't like them, while plenty in the crowd do like them, and you are ruining it for them, while pretending you speak for all. You wouldn't know white nationalist if they slapped you in the face, your judgement is not to be trusted and even if you manage to find one, just because they are white nationalist doesn't mean anyone who wants to hear them publicly has no right to do so without a mob yelling over them, how showed up just to shut them down. If you don't want to listen, stay home, you have no right to show up and force everyone else not to listen. No one is asking for adoring audiences, what we are asking for is to stop shutting down people from speaking because you disagree with them, those are very different things, you just can't tell the difference because you are morally bankrupt while assured of your have moral high ground you don't actually have.

America under President Trump
Yzermandius19 replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Swing voters exist dude. Plenty of voters who voted for Obama voted for Trump, hence his success in the Rust Belt in key districts in swing states that voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012. Plenty of swing voters already voted for Trump in 2016, and more of them will vote for him in 2020, especially if the Democrats try to impeach. The Democrats buy the garbage, swing voters do not, and neither do Republicans. That's a winning coalition, don't need no stinking Demohacks to flip for the Democrats to commit political suicide on this one, alienating swing voters and firing up the Republicans is enough. Americans weren't fans of impeaching Kavanaugh either, and Democrats still bring that sh*t up like it's a winning hand, it's hilarious. None of this impeachment nonsense plays with swing voters, Democrats are out to hang themselves. -

Asking for a favor isn't super on the up and up, but if you try to impeach over that, or witholding the complaint of someone who isn't even a whistleblower, then America is going to hate impeachment even more than they already do. America does not agree with you about getting rid of Trump via impeachment, it's time you accept that and stop deluding yourself that they are on your side. Trump released the transcripts because he knows there is nothing in it that can hurt him, and he knows Democrats are going to overplay their hand like they can hurt him and make themselves look like fools in the process. He knows the Democrats are going to react like you are, and he's baiting them to do so. -

The favor was never done, therefore, no quid pro quo, by definition. Asking for a favor isn't a quid pro quo, for a quid pro quo, both sides have to agree and then actually exchange favors. That never happened, so you've got nothing, you just wish Trump did what you think he did, but as usual, you are reaching because you have Trump Derangement Syndrome. -

Yzermandius19 replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
There is no evidence of a quid pro quo, if there was, then Trump could be impeached. Trump would have never released the transcript if there was a quid pro quo. Like I say, Americans are against Impeachment, all the polls agree, and Democrats want to commit political suicide anyway, because their Demohack bubble supports it. Go ahead, make his day, Americans will be even more against impeachment than they are now, if the Democrats actually go through with it. -

Yzermandius19 replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
That is not my ill informed opinion, it's what all the polls on impeachment say. 66% of Democrats are in favor, swing voters and Republicans are vehemently against it. Look up the polls if you don't believe me. It's a Democrat only obsession, you just don't want to believe that you are Democrat Partisan, when you obviously are, so you assume swing voters agree with you. You denying that Americans don't support impeachment is just your ill informed opinion. -

The American people are totally against it, yet the Democrats are all for it, it's political suicide. The "whistleblower" has nothing to important say, he never even heard the phone call. If you are counting on him to have "the smoking gun" you're going to very disappointed. You really will grasp at any straw to attack Trump, sad. -

I never said there is proof Hunter Biden did something illegal, but there isn't proof of Donald Trump doing anything either. With Biden you refuse to speculate and act like it's conspiracy theory, with Trump you speculate ad nauseam with your wishful thinking that he's finally done now. Obvious double standard in favor of the Democrats is obvious, you're a hack. Go ahead Impeach him, make his day. That's playing right into his hands, and making the Democrats look hysterical. -

So sure Hunter Biden broke no laws, is somehow positive Donald Trump broke the law though. Boges can see no double standard, keeps waiting for the bombshell moment that finally finishes Trump off, even though it's never going to happen. -
1) Your mind reading skills are garbage 2) You're right to freedom of expression ends when you are infringing on others freedom of expression. You can be loud and annoying somewhere else, or you can keep your loud and annoying to a level that lets the other side have their freedom of expression. If you have to yell over the opposition, and refuse to ever allow them to speak in public, or have to get violent to shut them down, then you can f*ck off. No one is taking away your free speech by refusing to allow you to shut down other people's freedom of expression, that is you trying to take away someone else's freedom of expression being shut down.

Nancy Pelosi, a truly unbiased source who isn't grasping at straws. This is beautiful, go ahead, try to impeach him, commit political suicide, that'll show Trump. -

They are already making the same mistake again. They are doubling down on the failed 2016 strategy, it's pure wishful thinking on your part that they won't do that again. They think it was all Clinton's fault, and if they just run the same strategy with a different candidate, they are guaranteed to win. The Democrats show infinitely more hubris than the Republicans, despite losing. They have learned nothing. -

Politician I Don't Like Derangement Syndrome is a thing. It is a way to describe the counter-productive opposition that is so ineffective it's as if they are moles trying to make the opposition look stupid on purpose. You've got TDS pretty bad. -
F*ck your hate speech nonsense and the horse it rode in on. They should be arrested, if they refuse to vacate, your right to free speech does not supersede theirs. A mob should not get to show up and shut down an event they don't like, you want peacefully protest, or protest loudly somewhere else fine, you don't get shut down people whose opinions you don't like.

America under President Trump
Yzermandius19 replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Both parties do it. When their POTUS is in office they look the other way on almost everything, when the opposition is in the white house they cry bloody murder about almost everything. Welcome to politics. This time the Democrats have gone extra hard on the crying bloody murder about everything due to TDS, and that is Trump's greatest strength, triggering the opposition into counter-productive behavior because they naively believe they are winning due to living in a bubble. -

Impeach away, that will only make Trump stronger, just like it made Clinton stronger. Those kinds of partisan witch hunts backfire, every time. Americans do not want to impeach Trump, go ahead, piss them off, I'm sure that will hurt Trump, lulz. Wishful thinking is a helluva drug. -

Keep making enemies of swing voters through obvious partisan witch hunts. With enemies like y'all, Trump doesn't need friends, because the Dems are making enemies of swing voters. -

Go ahead, and that investigation will blow up in your face, just like all your other investigations did. The more witch hunts you start against Trump, based on little to no evidence, the more he wins. With enemies like you, Trump doesn't need friends. -

The dude isn't a whistleblower, so it's not a whistleblower complaint. The guy didn't even hear the conversation, and the information he received was not related to doing his job. Obvious fake whistleblower is obvious.
