  1. CBC is over produced and they have an agenda.  More and more of their programing plays to tiny segments of the listenership/population.   Call it 'woke' if you want, but the fact remains that CBC has become a monitor of all things politically advantageous to the left's preoccupation with 'correctness'. They are left of center, and I suspect they've lost listenership over their choice to be left of center.  It would be interesting to see if they would be able to survive with half of the funding they get from the taxpayer.

the Conservatives are even more knee jerk authoritarian than the Liberals

if the Truckers had tried to blockade Stephen Harper, he would have nipped that in the bud right away

and unlike the Liberals, the Conservatives would have had the police & army onside

Thinking that Stephan Harper in that situation would have been man enough to talk to the truckers and try to address their and others concerns.

Instead, Justin Trudeau had yet another attack of Convenient-Covid, and hid out behind Mommy's couch . . . to snipe away with his uncalled for names, labels, and ultimately 'War Measures Act' part 2.

Canada has a tapeworm, Canadians have been reluctant to take the medicine to shit this parasite out. Hopefully, Pierre Poilievre is that medicine.

Comparing our government and state of affairs in Canada to the most murderous regimes and individuals is ridiculous if you expect to be taken seriously.

And if you are serious then I fall to see why you shouldn't be regarded as radical and extreme. These are not qualities we want to see in whoever occupies the most powerful office in the land.

Are you afraid of Pierre Poilievre, afraid his intelligence and enthusiasm will overwhelm your little Port Alberni welfare world?

Afraid of anyone who will try to get Canada back on its feet again?

Your clown in Ottawa has done major damage to this country.  I consider him a traitor, and his devoted followers as fools.

I said I have no problem with him picking people to be inclusive.   The point is that Conservatives light their hair on fire every time Trudeau picks anyone other than a white guy for a position.

    You have no point.

Conservatives do not light their hair on fire if the chosen candidate isn't white.

Where do you get this stuff . . . . . make it up as you type?

I'm only preoccupied by people who insist our government and country have been taken over by commies and Nazis. I'd like some help in understanding why Poilievre would attract so many paranoid followers and of course what he has to say about them.

You're confusing people that are concerned with the Federal Liberal governments over-reach into many of their affairs with your so-called 'paranoid followers' . . . .

IPolitics is not always about 'merit'.  It can be politically advantageous, and smart, to pick candidates with particular backgrounds that will appeal to voters you’re targeting.  .

When Trudeau did this, and it became apparent that the chosen candidate was smarter, more qualified, and wouldn't bend to his breaking of the law . . . . he fired them, and slagged them in the press and media.

    Need examples?

This is what happens when you divide people into hundreds of groups, and then pit all of them against each other. And then show preface for some groups over others, What this country needs is strong leadership that unites us, under one flag, one purpose, until then Canadians will do what is best for themselves and their small groups..

Might be a great theory, but until Quebec agrees to become  part of Canada . . . . . it stays a great theory.

Pierre Poilievre is about to become leader of the CPC. There are similarities between Mr. Poilievre and Prime Minister Trudeau.

Their ascension to the leadership was/is a coronation. Both men are all flash and no bang. Glib one liners like "because it's 2015" or "Justinflation." Mr. Poilievre is very entertaining but, like the Prime Minister, he is big on broad promises about solving the economy but he never actually specifies how he will do that in the face of the crisis in healthacare and the on going pandemic, the coming climate catastrophe, and the war in Ukraine. Like the Prime Minister, all he says is he will solve all our problems. I can make the same promise and would have the same results.

Why can't we get someone who will turn us into a team, all pulling in the same direction and focusing on solutions, not blame.

Mr. Poilievre is un-tried.  You state he's "all flash and no bang" . . . . how did you come to your conclusion?

Why would Mr. Poilievre, or any opposition candidate completely lay out their plans to fix the existing governments failure in the economy, overspending, Covid matters, climate, etc.?  Do you not think that the appalling existing Federal Government of Trudeau/Singh wouldn't implement good ideas from the opposition?

Learn to spell . . Poilievre.

I agree with this.  If I was asked to turn over all emails related to a certain person, I would know that means ALL correspondence that relates to that individual.

I think AHS knows this too - it's commonsense - but they want to drag this out as long as possible in the hopes that Chris Scott runs out of money or just gives up.

Our government . . . working for us.

Hoping Chris Scott 'stays the course' . . .
