The issue was should the government control the pot industry. That is the reason that I believe they should. To make sure there is no money in it for the cartels. As far as home grown , I would like people to be able to do it like making your own wine and beer. Why not. Selling? hmm.. not so sure. That opens the door to corruption and people messing with the quality and additives. So grow for yourself but only the government can approve vendors that meet certain criteria.

I wouldn't call it fearful since Canadians don't scare easily and give up their freedoms like you did after 911. Fascism as referred to nazism ,neo nazism etc... is always a concern. If you want to know the future you have to understand the past . There is a reason Canada rates in the top 3 countries in the world for an educated citizenry and America doesn't rate in the top 10. So of course we would have a better understanding. Canada is America's largest customer . We purchase more than all of Europe combined. When we speak that is how we speak as their biggest customer. Believe me, no capitalist wants to lose their biggest customer.
