  1. You and taxme should team up.
  2. They did do a lot of road building/improvement, which augmented the poppy trade significantly. Guess where a lot of the opium turned up?
  3. It's doubtful the US will be successful if they continue to pursue their idea of bringing in a central democracy. The country is just not ready for that.
  4. I understand they can be challenged by congress and the courts.
  5. Trump continues to insult Republican senators such as Mitch McConnell etc. Does he not understand that he needs them if he is going to get any of his EO's passed? I anticipate Arizona is gonna be a hoot similar to the one he gave at Trump Tower recently. Unless of course he uses teleprompters to keep him sane.
  6. I don't need popcorn, I've flown over the damn things many times.
  7. Haiti is a bit of a special case. The place has been poverty stricken for years, helped along by the fact that a number of Presidents took the county's bank account with them when they were voted out or ousted. The Duvalier's and Aristide come to mind. Then on top of that they had a major earthquake and floods. And then some of the UN people sent to help from some countries, didn't really help. So I can see why a lot of people left. If I was going to suggest an industry that they should focus on rebuilding, it would be tourism. The other end of the island, the Dominican Republic does very well at it.
  8. Cruise ships have been stopping in Haiti for years.
  9. Quirks of the US Prison System

As was pointed out in a recent interview with a released inmate, if you are convicted of a crime in the US, sentenced and serve your 20 years behind bars, there are numerous funded programs to reintegrate you into society. If you are wrongly convicted and finally are exonerated after 20 years, they simply open the door and kick you out. Doesn't seem quite right.

  10. I see, so ratings you don't like are "fixed" eh? I think we could all see that one coming. Just sayin'.
  11. Eight years? Look at his ratings after six months!
  12. There was a "temporary protected status" created after the terrible earthquake in 2010. Many nations, including Canada helped with the rebuilding which has been completed to the point were the TPS has been rescinded.
  13. His constant little flippy flops on what happened in Charlottesville will likely help to hasten that event. chuckle, chuckle.
  14. It will be interesting to see which Donald Trump we see revealed with his upcoming visit to Phoenix. I somehow doubt he will continue with the demeanor he demonstrated yesterday with his highly scripted, totally teleprompter speech he delivered yesterday. And of course will he pardon convicted criminal Sheriff Arpaio?
  15. I'm glad we got that settled.
  16. Not hard to tell which portions you buy into.
  17. The Canadian government set up a similar temporary protected status as did the US following the earthquake in Haiti. Ours was shut down prior to Trump suggesting the US would shut down there's. As of 2015, the last year data is available, 38% of Haitian refugees were allowed to stay.
  18. Right. And the 50% who are not following the law get the boot. Not so complicated is it?
  19. And roughly half of them get deported because they do not qualify under the terms of the immigration requirements mentioned.
  20. Then you should hasten your training by reading up the items I suggested for you.
  21. Try reading sections 34-37 of our IRPA. You'll find we have some of the toughest immigration laws in the western world.
  22. I'll leave you to discuss things at such a level thanks.
  23. And there are the odd flake around who think building some sort of wall will somehow remedy the issue.
  24. You're kidding right? What Trump "accomplished" in SA is too further destabilize the area by arming yuuugely one of the worst human rights offenders in the me. Obama had the brains not to be so foolish.
