  1. Interesting as multiple pages provide examples which state that Fitnah means a trial or test in which something disliked is eliminated. The website Islam Questions and Answers supervised by Shaykh Muhammad Saalih al-Munajjid states that in 2:193 "this means shirk (worshipping others besides Allaah)"

The same site shows the word Zalimun being used to describe non-believers and polytheists. https://islamqa.info/en/170927

So as was being discussed in thread about extremists that has been locked, it seems there is plenty of room for interpretation of the rules among Muslims. Is it possible for some to conclude that verse means Muslims should fight non-believers unless they convert to Islam?

Ofcourse no, there are words with multiple meanings in all languages. This does not mean that you can translate a sentence in many different meanings. You can translate it with the most significant state.

  2. Does Turkey employ the death penalty? If so, what crimes lead to execution? How is the execution carried out?

I understand what you mean. If I really hated someone and wanted them to suffer, killing them would be too easy for them. Years in solitary confinement would be a lot more painful and may well drive them mad at some point, probably sooner than later.

No we dont but big part of our people want it for some specific situations.

  3. Wiki says : "Facebook is a for-profit corporation and online social media and social networking service based in Menlo Park, California, United States."

Facebook can disable or delete any account for a number of reasons, or no reason at all.

    https://www.facebook.com/help/185747581553788/

Then why are they complaining about it when we close the access Facebook in Turkiye ?

So if they are able to close pages without giving any reason, we also can complately close it.

  4. What about Quran 2:193?

And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allah) and (all and every kind of) worship is for Allah (Alone). But if they cease, let there be no transgression except against Az-Zalimun (the polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc.)

Do Mulims have to fight atheists and followers of other gods?

I really cant believe that, many of these words are translated false.

There is no such a thing that "Fitnah" means "disbelief", or "Zalimun" means "polytheists".

Fitnah means "trying to create hatred, enmity, unrest". Zalimun means "the ones who behaves brutal, cruel."

There is no word in the verse which means "worship" too. The word which is falsely translated as "worship" is Arabic word "deen" and the closest meaning for it in English is "system"/"order".

The Arabic word "deen" is falsely translated as "religion" in many other verses too. There is no word in Quran that means "religion".

There is also no words in Quran that means "non-believer" or "dis-believer" or "non-Muslim" but you can see these three words are used in many English translations.

If we back to the topic, you should read the pre and after verses to understand what does verse 2:193 really mean. The pre-verse says, dont fight them if they gives up to fight you. After verse says that enmity of Muslims is only against the cruels.

  5. Facebook closed the German journalist Martin Lejeune's facebook page for 5 days without any reason. Lejeune is known with his support to Turkish government after coup attempt events. Lejeune said that "I see that my freedom of press is threatened."

I cant find any English or German news link, I share a link in Turkish language.

    His page: https://www.facebook.com/lejeune.berlin?fref=ts

  6. What you're doing is much more damage to interesting and detailed discussions than even the worst thread drift.

Thread topics are a starting point. Nobody in a real conversation stays completely on topic. One idea triggers another and off it goes. No rational person stops that in mid-track and says "wait no, that's not what we were talking about". A person who would do that is someone you wouldn't invite out next time.

Real life discussions goes out of the topic many times because of people cant control themselves during a discussion and you cant stop them doing so if you are not planning to bondage their mouths. Its different in forums. Everthing goes in much more controlled manner. You can think twice before you write something in a topic or moderators can interfere with a derailing in a discussion.

  7. Of all the religions in the world, Islam seems to be the one with the most violent extremists at the current time.

The article doesn't condemn the 99% (or whatever the real figure is) of "peaceful" Muslims. Islam definitely has issues. To criticize those issues is not to demean the people that live peacefully.

Wrong. I dont say %99,99 is "good" Muslims and %0,01 is "bad" Muslims. We have discussed this issue before.

You can find it under this topic >>> http://www.mapleleafweb.com/forums/topic/26028-were-all-extremists-eventually/

  8. I think you're getting our prisons mixed up with Turkish prisons.

So what happens when someone being held in a prison for long years ? Does he/she going to be a better person with each passing day behind the walls ? Or just the opposite he/she is going to suffer physically and psychologically ? Short term of prison sentence is acceptable but long term prison sentence is a crime. Makes everything worse.

  9. I just want to be sure I clearly understand what you are saying.

    1. That Turkey is prevented from doing anything about ISIS both by Western powers and by neighboring Muslim countries?

    2. That destroying or otherwise making oil refineries unavailable would put an end to ISIS, but that Western powers will neither destroy the refineries, nor make them unavailable to ISIS?

    3. That Syria is a traitor to the region because they want or accept help from the West and Russia?

    Am I understanding you correctly?

    1) Post 65

    2) Yes this would cause a big damage on ISIS because many of their fighters are mercenaries. They also buy weapons with this money. Yes these rafineries are not destroyed.

    3) I feel the same that what you would feel if US would need help and they would choose Saudi Arabia as an ally instead of Canada.

  10. I can certainly understand you not wanting Western military coming in without cause and I agree with that. But if you don't need our help, why is ISIS still around - shouldn't your forces in the ME have been able to get rid of them? Unless you consider ISIS a legitimate army representing Muslim and Islamic interests?

I am really curious about your perspective on this.

Because we are not unity and Muslim countries are not allowed to intervene issue. ISIS can be around as long as noone intervene against them.

For example who is going to interfere with ISIS in Iraq ? The last time we were blamed of being invaders by Iraqi govt when we entered Iraqi Kurdish Region to help Kurds against ISIS.

Another example is Syrian dictatorship, they want help from Russia and US against ISIS and accept the big part of Muslim countries as their enemies.

Now its my turn to ask you a question. ISIS sell oil and makes money, is not it ? So then how could we prevent them to sell oil ? Destroying about 10-12 oil rafineries in ISIS controlled areas would be a perfect choice ? is not it ? Can you please reply, why these oil rafineries are not made unavailable by US or by Russia or by Syrian regime ? So these powers are the absolute rulers of the region.

  11. thanks for sharing. Music is universal. I immediately liked Simge Yanzi, I love the runs, nice music. I listened to the first 2. Are these popular songs in Turkiye?

Yes these are "pop musics" from my country. I usually listen these songs in car.

  12. Well then it didn't take too much time to get your agenda out Altai. Muslim Union. Turan Union.

At least you have the integrity to state your agenda.

Why should I "hide" my agenda ? Do you think everyone acts like "Israelis" ? We are Muslims. Dont compare with yourself.

  13. Looks like the war is changing but once more. Turkey, our NATO ally, has its leader in Russia shaking hands with and promising closer ties with Russia. Hey, who is on what side here?

Here we are with Canadian troops on the ground helping our allies (who are they anyway?) with Turkish, Russian, American, German etc jets flying overhead and dropping bombs on the enemy (whoever they are). Right now we are applying economic sanctions (which are hurting our economy) on Russia while our NATO ally is talking turkey with Putin?

    http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/08/turkey-russia-agree-cement-ties-160809135944476.html

Get our troops the hell out of there and do it fast!!

We are not allies. We dont trust each other based on valid reasons. This is a compulsory friendship and we are going to leave NATO in near future. Our aim is to create Turan Union and Muslim Union. We will create a common Muslim Army first.

  14. I can tell by over the top language of your claims that it is most likely a complete fiction (your claims sound like a cheap propaganda pamphlet rather than an account of actual facts).

Other sources I have read indicate that Turkey labels anyone who even attempts to learn about the PKK is a "terrorist". Which gives even more reason to doubt that your claims have any merit even if there come from a media outlet in Turkey that has been bullied into being a propaganda arm for Erdogan (throwing journalists in jail for offending the 'dear leader' frequently has that effect).

I dont discuss the correctness of the news. It may be true or false.

I want to learn that could a media organ make such a news in US ? For example we dont have any news agencies in US. Could we open a newspaper there and publish whatever we want ? : )))

  15. And Islam defines the world into two camps, the house of peace, which is Islam, and the house of war, which is all other lands. Therefore, anyone who is an infidel in another land can be construed as being at war with Islam is a legitimate victim of rape.

There is no such terms in Quran. Quran forbids offensive fights, you cant fight someone as long as they dont fight you. I have explained this before in another topic.

  16. Did your free media also say that she was training PKK-PYD terrorists in Syria and in Turkiye about how to fight against Turkish security forces in city conflicts, trapping bomb on roads and in civilian homes, how to provoke civlian people against security forces or did your free media tell you that she was team mate with other British agents, did your free media also tell you that she defines herself as "freedom fighter" ?
