  1. Yeah most fed govt jobs start around 45k and run up to 80k. I don't think there's too much OT to be had. I'm sure the salary range is similar for bus drivers but there is a lot of OT available. Either way, it's a lot of taxpayer money.
  2. Is it in the public sector?
  3. Not really in a unionized environment. The bus drivers who get first shot at overtime are likely the ones with the highest base salary.
  4. I posted a thread about the counter-protester and G&M's spin on it: http://www.mapleleafweb.com/forums//index.php?showtopic=22215
  5. They shouldn't after watching the video. It's clear that he was commenting on their aggression.
  6. That's exactly the point. The article makes you believe that, but the video clearly shows who was starting to try a fight. Michael: I don't see how you can characterize that as a calm discussion. Both the overweight indian and the chief were clearly attempting to intimidate the counter-protesting and appear to have succeeded given that he left after 20 minutes.
  7. I may have the wrong link. I'm on my phone so I can't check. It's a video within the truck woman story.
  8. That is the video of the incident referred to in the excerpt of the g&m article I quoted. Read the sign that the man in the video has and then read the excerpt I quoted. I know it's hard to believe they are reporting onthis event because it is so biased.
  9. Erm.. The 2nd video with the chief and the fat indian berating a peaceful counter-protester.
  10. There is a video of the incident on my sun news link. There are two videos.
  11. http://www.theglobea...article7446747/ Ok so a crazy counter protester showed up wanting to start a fight, but the peaceful Ghandi-like natives just calmly reasoned with him right? Then the protester must have left after 20 minutes after being outwitted. Oh wait, there's video of the event: http://www.sunnewsne...116-170014.html I wonder why G&M didn't offer any quotes from the fat native that was probably 5 seconds from shanking the counter-protester, or the chief who implied to the counter-protestor that only the natives could protest there because the land was his (the Chief's)...
  12. haha good find. Q: Have you had EI before? A: Yes. Five or six times maybe. Most of it’s all sick benefits from when I needed a break and then switched onto regular benefits until I could find a job and yes, I did find a job. "Damn gumint taking my rightful 1 year of sick leave for working for a year!" Sorry, this isn't France Marlene. The sign may be the best part though... "FORCED on INCOME". What is wrong with people?
  13. Yes everyone knows how fractional reserve banking works. That doesn't change the fact that the money supply is controlled by central banks.
  14. Central banks control interest rates, which is what affects the money supply. Nice try leftster!
  15. No I don't care about the money corporations are sitting on any more than I care about the billions of savings canadian citizens are sitting on due to tax cuts such as the TFSA. Why should I care if other people/companies save their after-tax income?
  16. I would say amuse is the most likely.. I'm just as confused as Moonbox in terms of how this relates to EI.. Seems like you just used this thread to vent that society doesn't value the ecosystem as much as you'd like.
  17. lol what is this nonsense.
  18. Ontario is still lagging most of Canada, but they're recovering many lost jobs because of the strength of the Canadian economy. Dat oil.
  19. Another 40k jobs created in Dec. Unemployment down to 7.1%. How will the lefties belittle this great news this time?
  20. They have no jobs. I already said I wouldnt mind if the people involved were prosecuted, but are they even in the US?
  21. Ok... The people who can run a corporation can change, there's no reason to give the "death penalty" to a 200B corporation that employs over 250k people when you can just force them to hire new management (which they did). That's like nuking a city to kill Bin Laden.
  22. All the responsible execs were fired. I wouldn't mind seeing them prosecuted, but I think many are out of US jurisdiction. We're talking about the corporate entity though.
  23. It makes complete sense. Something can rise or not rise proportionately to a proportion. Obviously cybercoma isn't exactly a math genius, so I'll provide an example: 0.00001 murders per capita in city A is a proportion. 100 murders in city B is a number. If there is an increase to 200 murders in city B, then city A's per capita murder rate doesn't have to proportionately rise to 0.00002 simply because it is a proportion.
  24. We have a math whiz here!!
