Yes I agree that we should clean up our own house first but for sure we should not make our house even dirtier by bringing dirt from outside to compound the problem. Bringing over those who have no respect for women or other religions or don't believe in the equality of women and races or human rights only worsens our society. As you said we have enough dirt here already.

So you can say same thing for other religions as well in the East. Yes I have said it again and again. We must become much more selective in choosing who is coming to Canada. Those who do not have respect for women or other religions and cultures and do not believe in equality of women, religions and races must be filtered out like covid-19 virus. We don't want them here to contaminate our land.

So if you agree with me that all religions have their share of evil and crime then why you so strongly advocate the so called Judeo-Christian culture and so afraid of losing it? Lets lose all of them then.

Immigrants come from all over the world and not just middle east and Africa and the ratio from those regions was more or less same during Harper era (Harper wanted to take Syrians too but less in numbers). I have come across far more oriental and Latin and European immigrants than middle eastern myself. What Trudeau needs to do is to cut down on numbers and give a chance for new immigrants to integrate and adopt to new home and more importantly be a lot more selective so that those hateful individuals who by the way are not limited to middle east or Africa (like those neo Nazi gangsters in Europe and rapists in Serbia) do not have the chance to come over, settle and become citizens.

The debate is not about me or my status but what is best for Canada and humanity as well. I can assure you though my support for Trudeau is not for self interest as I personally have the whitest possible skin and I am the least interested in Muslim immigrants (unless their pass stringent selectivity tests based on respect for women and believe in total equality of gender and respect for other cultures and religions) . As I have mentioned I am against Trudeau's immigration policy as I believe in less immigrants and much more selectivity based on adoptability and prospects for future positive contributions, but this single disagreement doesn't convince me to vote for Harper because I am much more against a heartless government and spreading hate. Life is too short for that. I don't wish to live in a country full of hate. In Europe skinhead Neo Nazi gangsters randomly attack colored people many born there and there is tension between white and colored people. Not so in Canada thanks to guys like Trudeau and especially multiculturalism policies of his father, the great Pierre Trudeau Canadians live in peace contributing to this society as doctors and engineers and nurses and taxi drivers or store clerks and many other professions. I don't wish to see my peaceful loving Canada become a land of hate like Europe and people like you are contributing to that nightmare possibility by your near hate posts.

At the time the user name "Citizen" was taken (already in use) so I though I added either my join/membership date or birthdate so I decided on former. But why would you just assume? Also assuming that recent immigrants or citizens don't care for Canada is also very wrong. When I was citizen only for 5 years I cared a lot more as this was my home for many decades to come so I wanted the best of the best for Canada but now I have may be a couple of decades left, maybe less even, three at most.

By aggressive hateful statements like this you are not only attacking me for my support of our Prime Minister but also 35.2% of Canadians (over 10 millions) who also support him and will elect him for another term. Most Canadians like myself don't like extremism either to right or left and our best position is center as why Trudeau will continue to enjoy massive support.

He runs the country with hearts and minds as compared with heartless Harper government. Trudeau was there for Canadians when millions lost their jobs and income during this pandemic (or you wish to call it plandemic but whatever). He help millions of citizens to continue bring bread and butter to table and milk for the babies and keep a shelter over their heads but God knows how many Canadians would have become homeless or would have lost their business or homes or even starve if it wasn't for Trudeau's liberal government and yes he created a big deficit BUT SO DID THE REST OF THE WESTERN WORLD.

Well made comments. I guess those on Judeo-Christian culture forget that it wasn't only Muslims who invaded east and west and killed and raped but Christians did too though to a lesser extend. The most recent example only decades old is the example of Serbians invading Bosnia and killing Muslim men and raping Muslim women or who know maybe they even support their actions. After all the Serbs were Christians.. Not to mention Nazi Germany all recent crimes in the name of Christianity. I have learned as much as the other 35.2 percent of Canadians who according to polls are ready to vote for Trudeau and elect another Liberal government likely a majority to power. I learned a lot during the last Harper majority government and just to get my point across I voted for Mulroney twice in 1984 and 1988. Also to clarify I am against Trudeau's immigration policies as like his father immigration numbers should come down to under 100,0000 during the recession (of 1981 to 1983). Especially immigration from Muslim dominated countries should be restricted (not stopped because many of those are seeking freedom from tyranny) and selection criteria must change based on adoptability and respect for women and other religions and cultures which many from those regions are lacking so it may surprise you to know that we are not that much apart after all.

They knew this is coming for months yet I have been trying to book for my parents all day. I used what was publicized (https://covid19.ontariohealth.ca/). After waiting for my turn for online registration I entered all the correct info, checked and double checked but at the end I get the stupid message that "The form has been tampered with"!!!!! What the hell does this mean? Tried many more times and get the same stupid message. Tried to call the given number many times and it was always engaged. Eventually after several hours and possibly over 100 attempts I got through the phone and was put on hold waiting for an agent to help. My call was answered after an hour of waiting. The agent tried to book me three times and his booking system crashed. Eventually I was able to book the appointment for end of March. What Doug Ford has to say? Federal government under Justin Trudeau was able to secure tens of millions of vaccines for Canadians in a very tight competitive market. Though there were some initial issues regarding late arrivals of some vaccines but vaccines now arriving at the rate of a million per week and increasing to even more next month. Trudeau government and his procurement minister Anita Anand worked very hard to secure the earliest possible arrival of vaccines for Canada and Canadians appear to appreciate the efforts.. I don't know about Argus but I am scared of" 1 -Those with backward values like lack of respect for women's rights and choice or lack tolerance of other cultures and religions bring their medieval values here and my nightmare is that with time in decades from now they become a majority and wish to impose their backwards values upon the rest of us. 2 -At the time that millions of Canadians are out of work, it is not the right time to increase immigration but to cut it significantly as Pierre Trudeau did in 1983 when immigration was reduced to 70,000 annually. 3 -There may be a backlash against those immigrant looking population even if they have been here for long and contributed very positively to Canada in the long term. As disgusting as it is in some part of Europe some out of work or extreme right wing elements attack especially colored immigrants physically in public and private places. I do not wish to live in a Canada like that even though myself though long time immigrant I have a very white.(pale) skin so most likely I won't be targeted myself but the society as a whole will become a hell to live in full of hate and no tolerance.

Update!! I am pleased to post an update that significant criticisms by various groups and social media of Ontario government's vaccination policies and slow speed worked and today they announced a NEW timetable with new policies (including spacing out the doses by 4 months and offering AstraZeneca to those between 60 to 64). Based on the new timetable all those at highest risk will be vaccinated much sooner than the timetable announced before with wrong policies. All those over the age of 60 will be vaccinated by June not August as was announced before. Every Ontarian who wishes to be vaccinated will be likely vaccinated by end of June.
