In my opinion you are both right. I believe this is an energy recovery program. From that little amount of energy recovered, I doubt it will ever recover the installation cost. Also there is the potential for problems. A plumbing drainage system was never designed to produce hydro electricity. I remember hearing the same crap about geo thermal in southern Ontario. Sounds like business as usual to me. Communist China's economy is now the #1 and the US is in the #2 weaker position. And it looks like the US is losing ground to India! Probably after the next couple of elections by 2024, the US will have probably slipped behind India into #3 world economy position and will be only slightly ahead of the likes of Indonesia, Brazil and Russia. I personally don't care how much the US wants to shoot itself in the foot. My problem is that we can't pack up Canada and move closer to other neighbors. South Korea now enjoys a stronger economy than Canada due to their proximity to China. WWWTT
