The economy is formed by people at its core. Immigrants are people, often with money, skills, and purchasing power.

Smallc, please explain how your answer helps make sense of bringing immigrants in for a negative job situation. Zero sum game is a ridiculous statement.

More people bring the need for more jobs. It's also worth noting that the unemployment problem is a short term one. What we're really facing is a labour shortage in the medium to long term.
