Donald Trump should be commended for his Muslim Ban.
Hal 9000 replied to H10's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I think that the countries listed are countries with active terror recruitment facilities or camps...and places that the terrorists move through, no necessarily their country of origin. Obama's administration are the ones that identified these countries based on CIA Intelligence - so, who knows. -

And that's where Trump went wrong. He shoulda thrown a wrench into things by listing a eastern Europe or Scandinavian country. -

I think if the leftists knew that some Christians were blocked yesterday, they'd feel a lot better. -
I've had 2 children born premature (at least 6 weeks early) and weighed about 5 lbs, dropped into the 4's for a while and now they're both very normal people. As long as babies are being aborted who are either 1) older than that or 2) weigh more than that, then I'll call that murder. A 5lb baby can fit in the palm of a hand - I could never imagine aborting a human at that stage - yet it does happen.

Trudeau invites refugees to Canada, taunts Trump
Hal 9000 replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Like Nicky Haley said, they're taking names - this should bode well for Canada. Trudeau is a complete moron. -
If PP's abortions are only 3% and they're getting some $500m of funding, and they really care about women's health, then it shouldn't be a tough decision to choose the gov't money and help women with all the other 97% of services.

Nice speech - short, tough and to the point. That's a good start for her. -

They'll find a solution that makes them both look good. Why you people worry so much simply amazes me. -
The attention it will get will be that it was smaller than the women's march.

I fully agree with you there. I think that's another thing that pro-abortionists overlook in their liberation of women. In addition, I'd say many young girls have regrets for their decision to abort. I don't know what Planned Parenthood does to council these girls - maybe someone else knows.
-
Well, i'm glad you asked. I've never had an abortion either, so that puts us on even ground. But, I've watched and listened for many years and along with your rape and incest scenarios, let me give some real world reasons why women get a lot of abortions; don't want to tell parents about pregnancy, don't want stigma attached with being pregnant (sex is liberating, but single motherhood makes me a slut), stretch marks/getting fat, and one night stand gone wrong, don't want to attached to that loser she slept with. I know, stats probably say that every girl is worried about her inability to parent or how it will affect their education, but I've never met someone who had an abortion not mention at least one of these factors.
-
An abortionist won't call it a baby, because then it's too real. Babies don't get aborted - only fetuses.
-
An abortion is easier than having a wisdom tooth removed - if that's what you want to know.
-
You think there are 100,000+ abortions a day because of rape, incest and losing their man?
-
In many cases, it's the easiest way out of the problem - of course.
-
^^You don't think that the ease of getting an abortion plays into a woman's thought process when making her decisions about her sex life?
-
You people are assigning first world western ideology to a large group of women who have no concept of what they're being taught, who have no (or very little) control of their sex lives, who have no education, and are living an existence not far from the stone age and many are prostituting themselves just to eat a meal or stay alive and you think the answer is to educate women on their choices? Not to mention the HIV that's out of control. To Betsy's point, we can't even deal with this issue properly in our "progressive" country, just have a look at some of our poorer communities and First Nations reserves. Sorry to say, but Madonna, Whoopi and Ashley Judd's weird performances and all the pussy hats worn by middle aged women are not going to help this problem - not one iota.
-
Here is the crux, you'd rather a third world woman have the freedom to get pregnant and abort the baby, costing taxpayers money in doctor bills, abortion surgeries and recovery (not to mention the unwanted pregnancies that end up going full term) rather than give up that freedom and prevent the whole ordeal. The cost is a baby's life, but at least the woman keeps her power.
-
Why not? As I said in the previous post, motorcycle helmets and for that matter seat belts are all law for one reason only - to prevent taxpayers from needless debt incurred through injury. Wearing a helmet infringes on my freedom.
-
Which brings us back to birth control. Why can't a serious birth control program be put into place?
-
OK, All women talk about is "their body, their choice", I've suggested mandatory birth control and that also goes against "the woman's right", we know that these women can't effectively be educated. The fact is; women want the power, but don't want the accountability. Fair enough, but when all is said and done, it's the taxpayers who pay the bill - so where am I wrong? I'm not telling women what they can't do, but why does their freedom come at a cost to the rest of us? We force people (primarily men) to wear motorcycle helmets because it's not fair for taxpayers to pay for their stupidity, there is a push to make people who smoke and drink to pay more for medical because of their lifestyle - so, why are abortions any different?
-
They're people in countries that the US is paying for birth control and abortions - obviously!
-
Let's face it, in getting to the heart of the matter, western women do not care about preventing pregnancies...and they don't care about aborting babies either. They care that women have that power to do whatever they want. If they did care about preventing pregnancies, they'd put forth a birth control program, but they don't - why? Well, because that would take away that power. That's all it's about - Power. Unfortunately, the third world women do not have the education or intelligence to handle such responsibilities. It may sound mean, but many of these people who western women want to empower, have an IQ that we would rate as "handicapped".

I don't agree with abstinence education, however, I don't believe birth control education or std education works for these people either.
