Yes. You. You drip with hypocrisy. It's not okay to treat Israel like it needs to be given a special status. It shouldn't. Israel should be tried for the criminal activities against the Palestinians. Everything from war crimes, to house demolitions to land and resources theft.
-
No I wouldn't. Remember that the next time you accuse someone of something they have never said.
-
Who said we need to be friends with anyone who breaks international and human rights laws?
-
Yes. They are very honourable when it comes to honouring international law, including human rights laws. *wink* *wink*
-
Once again you are dripping with hypocrisy and double standards; Israel and many other countries have long range missiles and chemical war heads. Not to mention between 200-400 nuclear weapons. Or should we just forget about that because Israel should be treated differently?

I'm assuming you're talking about the Pakistani guys in Rotherham, England that bigots and racists reference frequently in order to paint all Muslims as rapists and degenerates. Did you hear about the latest pedophile case in England, involving these guys - Let me know if they represent white guys: Clockwise from top left: John Denham, Matthew Stansfield, Adam Toms, Matthew Lisk, Robin Hollyson, Christopher Knight and David Harsley. UK: Paedophile gang raped babies and toddlers and streamed abuse over Internet A paedophile gang engaged in the sexual abuse of young children, including a baby, and streamed the acts on the internet, Bristol Crown Court heard. The gang members, convicted of 29 child sex offences, have been described as "sick, depraved, callous and cruel." The sexual abuse and rape incidents that included multiple rape of a child under 13 were streamed on the internet between 2013 and 2014. Real time internet instructions were provided to those involved in child abuse and often "date rape" drugs were used on babies, Bristol Crown Court heard. The youngsters' families were often groomed and in one case, parents were groomed before even the birth of their baby. "The manner of it is sufficiently disturbing that it would not be capable of being reported by the press in any eventuality," Robert Davies, prosecuting, told the court, reported BBC News.

Of course. Many of the refugees outside of Iraq and Syria are receiving help through the UN and other agencies. But this is just to keep them alive. If the countries who are willing to help can send large planes to transport these people to their countries, then, I'm sure, you would be seeing something different. Another boat has capsized with women and children drowning: Dozens of refugees including babies, children drown as boat capsizes off Greece

Reality called: Cameron, Hollande and Merkel: Why we support the Iran deal We fully support this agreement because it achieves the goals we had set ourselves. It deals with the uranium enrichment route to a bomb by requiring Iran to reduce by 98 percent its stockpile of enriched uranium; to lower by two-thirds the number of its centrifuges; to limit uranium enrichment levels; and to stop using the deep Fordow site for enrichment. It closes the plutonium route through changes to the Arak reactor so that it does not produce weapons-grade plutonium. And it ensures the IAEA enhanced access not only to Iran’s nuclear facilities and the entire nuclear fuel cycle but also, where needed, to any undeclared site. In return, Iran will get phased relief from nuclear-related sanctions — but only as it meets its own commitments in concrete ways, verified by the IAEA. And we have all agreed on provisions for the return of sanctions if Iran were to substantially breach the agreement.

The Invasion of Europe - Germany to take in 800,000 migrants

You think small elite commandos with helicopters can take out ISIL or Assad? -
Turkey has not taken them and they have made that clear. The stop in Turkey is temporary and they are looking for countries to settle in.
-
I wasn't trying to be witty and colourful. I was stating my opinion on bilingualism and asking why you are so afraid of people who are bilingual.
-
You could spin it or look at it that way. The way I see it is that many represent families who need help. Once a family member has made it, they can usually sponsor the rest of the family.
-
The long walks across countries. The risky boat rides across the waters. It's more risky for children to go through these than to stay in their refugee camps in Turkey and other areas. Eventually, once the men have found a country who will take them, then the process of bringing the rest of the family begins. This process is common.
-
I think it's great to be bilingual. Why are you so afraid Scotty?

The Conservatives are struggling in third and it's time to refocus the strategy. Enter "the Karl Rove of Australia", Lynton Crosby. Crosby, also known as "Wizard of Oz", has an impressive record with wins not only in Australia, but also in England. Now he wants to add Canada to his list. According to a Guardian profile of him, Crosby employs the strategy of wedge politics — finding an issue that can be exploited to split off an opponent's traditional supporters. Source So what's going to be used? The C-51 vote? Environment policy?

Stupid comments are made all the time by all sides in all countries. But this is no excuse for you to try to change narratives. The cartoon contest wasn't a "deny the holocaust cartoon contest" or an anti-Jew contest. FYI: International Holocaust Cartoon Contest was a cartoon competition sponsored by the Iranian newspaper Hamshahri, to denounce what it called "Western hypocrisy on freedom of speech". The event was staged in response to the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy, and to challenge Western accounts of the Holocaust. Once again, I urge you to learn about the things you so passionately want to talk about and accept information given to you. I don't expect you to thank me for giving you information but to at least come away with it having learned something. By the way, here is the winner of the contest:

Lesson #232 This is how we get most of our permanent residents. They usually gain work experience in Canada, then they can apply to become permanent residents. Cool, eh? I recommend again; Learn about the topic, before trying to debate with someone.
-
Once again I request that you educate yourself before trying to pass your opinion as facts. Canada has special agreements with most European countries, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, where people under 35 (30 in some), can get an open work permit to come to Canada. So Canada is already targeting Europeans. The name of the program is IEC.

You're lumping again. Let me lay it out in front of you: - How many Jews are there in Iran? Around 10,000 - How many synagogues are in Iran? 25 synagogues - Are they free to leave Iran and move to Israel (and get lots of goodies from Israel)? Yes. - Can they participate in government? Yes. - Are they persecuted because they are Jewish? No. Repeating misinformation after you have learned about it is not healthy in a forum debate. So I hope you resist repeating the same thing and make an effort to learn about the differences between groups, including their culture and dynamics between each other, in the Middle East.

And some will say Israel is worse".... (revised OP title)
marcus replied to jbg's topic in The Rest of the World
You are not very good at paying attention. In the very post you quoted, I mentioned Saudi Arabia in a way to say how low they are in the morality and human rights list. Who is supporting who? Are you, again, lumping everyone around Israel as the exact same? Kind of like how those Iranians are A-rabs? You need to make an effort in researching and understanding the things you talk about on MLW. You recently did the same thing in loudly declaring your opinions on immigration in Canada. -
U.S. and G5 + 1 Cave to Iran in Nuclear "Deal"

U.S. and G5 + 1 Cave to Iran in Nuclear "Deal"
marcus replied to jbg's topic in The Rest of the World
You're right. It's not for Jews. It's for Zionists and their fans. Glory, Hallelujah! Warmongers lose--AIPAC, U.S. Neocons, hard core Israeli Zionists and their Prime Minister Netanyahu, Saudi royal family, morally bankrupt Iranian expat opposition who did their best to break this deal, and their kindred souls among the ruling regime in Iran --they all lose --peace activists in Iran and the U.S. win--yet another disastrous war adding to the misery of the region is at least for now averted --in no small measure due to the heroic efforts of our Codepink sisters: Women for peace! -
U.S. and G5 + 1 Cave to Iran in Nuclear "Deal"
marcus replied to jbg's topic in The Rest of the World
Screw AIPAC, Bibi, Sheldon, all the war mongering Zionists and all of the extremists in Iran who have been pushing for the Iran Deal to collapse. Obama Gains Enough Senate Support to Thwart Iran Deal Vote Three more Democratic senators back the deal, potentially giving the president 41 votes necessary to kill congressional resolution against the nuclear agreement. read more: http://www.haaretz.com/news/world/1.675167 -
And some will say Israel is worse".... (revised OP title)
marcus replied to jbg's topic in The Rest of the World
You are excusing Israel's behaviour by really lowering the bar. So now Israel should be compared to Saudi Arabia? Nice one.
