  1. That's open to debate........the riding in question is the epitome of "battleground", likewise the potential impact in other ridings with larger Sikh communities like the various Surrey/Delta/Abbotsford ridings.
  2. "Technical experts" such as what? bloggers? And do you have any proof, whatsoever, that current members of the Canadian Forces are receiving "truckloads of your tax dollars"? Your statement's intent is unclear
  3. This, combined with Andrew Leslie's troubles speaks to the Liberal's typical problem of attempting to be all things to everyone.......with that said, the handpicked Liberal in the riding is a decorated war hero, and the first Indo-Canadian to command a regiment....security clearance alone, I'd question any claims to ties with radical groups......
  4. Again you compare the Canadian Forces to a teenager.......I'll ask once again, who do you feel better qualified to determine the actual operational requirements of the RCAF? The RCAF or the elected Government?
  5. That's both overly dramatic and subjective......Overall, the Forces (The Army, RCN and RCAF and all Commands within) haven't been as modern, capable, deployable and ingrained through both the ranks and officer corps with a level of actual combat experience (translating into effectiveness) since the 1950s into the early 1960s... Chrétien's "Decade of Darkness" is often used as the low watermark for the Canadian Forces, and though not without merit in some degrees, the Canadian Forces of the 1970s into the 1980s were at their lowest in nearly every possible measure......The Canadian Forces were the laughing stock of NATO and without overt threats of economic pressure placed upon the Trudeau Government by the EEC, the Canadian Forces today would be nothing more than a constabulary force like Ireland or New Zealand.....
  6. My thoughts exactly, the post did seem unclear, I can only assume what Rue meant.
  7. Thats exactly it, and a clear signal that the Liberals have abandoned Trudeau's promise not to campaign on fear and divisiveness......can't say I'm surprised though.
  8. Ahhh not quite........that too does not change, my current BC gun club(s) and in turn ATT entitles me to go to any legal range with the Province. None the less, the specific ranges and clubs within ones (current) ATT are determined by said holders Provincial Chief Firearms Officer......A person can belong to as many gun clubs/ranges and they like.......... What you suggest, is already legal and is not changed by C-42.
  9. Sure......dependent on distance, they would be useful against a man........
  10. This is true, but nearly all NATO members (and the ANZACS) cross pollinate with one another.......Our JTF-2 and CSOR train and deploy with Delta Force, the Green Beret and Rangers on a regular basis, well being equipped with nearly the exact same gear as them, despite in many cases the regular (Canadian) force using different equipment. What is not clear from Rue's post is if his intent was to suggest that Western Forces don't train with the IDF, which is largely true.
  11. Nope, the SEALS carry suppressed Ruger Mk. IIs for killing dogs........
  12. If you disagree with my "claims" on the transport rules and regulations remaining the same, by all means, using the two links (to the Firearms Act and Bill C-42) I provided, highlight the differences, no mater how subtle.........if you understand it, like how you understood the requirement to contact the RCMP each time one transports a restricted firearm, you should have no problem highlighting your claimed "changes" to ones ATT.
  13. Get's what? That you don't know what you're talking about with regards to the rules and regulations encompassed by a RPAL holders ATT?
  14. And the same rules will apply under Bill C-42 (as outlined in the above links) when moving a restricted and 12.6 Prohibited.....nothing changes other then ones ATT permit now being a condition of ones RPAL.
  15. Again you don't have a clue what it is you're talking about......The ATT as current will be combined with the RPAL... nothing changes, and that is one of the major complaints of the pro-gun NFA, in that nothing changes with the ATT. A RPAL holder's ATT will now be a condition of their license. The current Firearms Act Bill C-42 Above is quite clear, nothing changes with regards to rules and regulations for transport.
  16. Ahhh wrong again, currently you need an ATT to transport a restricted firearm......under C-42, you'll still need an ATT to transport a restricted firearm, but your ATT will be incorporated into your RPAL...........like I've been saying since the OP And no, the current rules and regulations encompassed in ones ATT will still apply under C-42.....It is obvious that you can't comprehend this, nothing changes other than the ATT and RPAL will be one.
  17. You have a clue on what? Not a clue to be found with regards to Canadian Firearms Law, as you've clearly demonstrated in nearly every single one of your posts in this thread.......... So, care to demonstrate what transport rules and regulations will be removed by Bill C-42? I can save you the trouble though.......nothing.
  18. I know the current Firearms Act and what the proposed changes C-42 will bring about..........You do not have a clue......do you really think 100s of thousands of RPAL holders are required to phone the RCMP prior to going to their range?
  19. Indeed.........any RPAL holders ATT, once obtained is valid through to the expiry of the license (5 years) or the holder ending membership with the gun club(s) listed on the ATT application.........with C-42, the ATT will be combined with the license.
  20. A restricted firearm can be transported now without any prior notification....as outlined within the Firearms Act.
  21. Ahh no......Trudeau as stated clearly that he would not bring back a registry, likewise the NDP recanted (several days ago) on bringing back a registry.........you've got it wrong....yet again.
  22. No it doesn't, once the RPAL holder obtains his or hers Long-term ATT......a Short Term ATT is issued once, for single use, when a RPAL holder purchases a firearm, to transport the firearm from the store to their home, then the firearm is covered under said holders LTATT.........Also, a STATT will be issued if a gun owner is transporting said firearm(s) out of Province. Here are the rules & reg encompassing transport........ Now demonstrate just a single rule that will be removed under C-42....
  23. Name just one Transport regulation or rule removed by C-42.
  24. Which rule or regulation? Name one....just one.
  25. Again, that is not true.......the current standalone ATT permit will be combined with a gun owners RPAL, all current rules and regulations will remain.......if you feel what I say is not true, by all means, explain what rules and regulations encompassing transport will be done away with. I won't hold my breath, as you clearly don't have a clue as to what you're talking about.........prove me wrong though.......just name a single transport rule or regulation that will be removed by C-42.......just one......I dare you
