  1. DND has an extra ~$16 billion sitting there? You're making things up, I'd gladly provide the Liberals own public four year spending plan if you like.......in it, there is no new money for fighters........
  2. So you can't demonstrate where said funds will come from.........hence my point still stands, Trudeau will not buy anything in this mandate, based on his own budget framework through 2019.
  3. Are you derailing your own thread now? By all means, demonstrate where the Trudeau Government has stashed the funds to purchase a new aircraft.
  4. Nope: And was a downgrade in many areas, of both the Tomcat and Intruder.
  5. And far more F-35s will be produced than Eurofighters, Rafales, Gripens or Super Hornets combined.
  6. Exactly, and is why the purchase will either be deferred or they will run a charade of a process and get sued by the losers.
  7. And when they are, there are no losers, hence nobody to sue the Government......my point exactly.
  8. Not in a sole sourced contract..........hence the term sole sourced
  9. Hence no new orders..........maybe the USN will have a bake sale and car wash.
  10. Sue on what grounds......if BC-2004 puts a lousy roof on my house, you can't sue him
  11. The plant doesn't close, the production line for the Super Hornet (and Eagle) will close with no new orders.
  12. You realize sole sourced means one bidder right? Hence, no losers to unleash lawyers.......
  13. I provided, in the other thread, the DoD 2016 budget framework........no money for any Hornets or Growlers, hence, without new orders, the plant closes in 2017.
  14. Buy what? They haven't selected an aircraft yet..........I don't have to provide proof to your claim that the Government has $16 billion stuffed away for fighter they haven't selected yet. Show me the money!!!
  15. I know they haven't, nor has Kuwait......hence, sans new orders, the plant shuts down in 2017
  16. I know that, and nowhere in their published budget plan is there new money for fighters within the next four years.
  17. So in your imaginary world, where the Government hasn't budgeted any money for new fighters, Boeing will allow us to queue jump over the USN and Kuwait?
  18. And the lawyers of the losers will stretch it out even further.
  19. Source? They keeping 16 billion under the sofa cushions?
  20. Exactly, on a production line producing ~15 aircraft a year, through 2018 if the USN orders more.....If Kuwait did purchase the Super Hornet, that would extend the line further...........hence your claim of a Canadian order being completed in 2018 is BS.
  21. Yeah, with the budget plan for the next four years, sans any new money for fighters.
  22. Or more likely, at the time, BAE held majority ownership in Saab.......BAE of course is the tier one partner with Lockheed, the maker of the F-35.....in addition, upwards of ~30% of the Gripen is made in the United States, and the United States Government can and does veto the sale of it domestically produced products overseas........Or Saab realized their product doesn't meet our requirements..
  23. Other than Trudeau's own fiscal spending plan......
