"Police services across North America are seeing a decline in applicants. For perspective, between April and December 2021 the RCMP had received 6300 applications. When looking at the previous fiscal year the RCMP had received close to 11,800 applications. This shows a decline of almost 47 percent.
In addition the RCMP is projecting an even further decline in applicants.”

A 47% drop in new applicants, and further decline forecasts it.
But it’s more about the change in attitude. I dont particularly like the RCMP, and there are lots of reasons not to enroll. But this big a drop is indicative of a shift in general attitude.
Happening elsewhere too. Look to Calgary... the Thin Blue Line patch.
Stupid woke government wants to demonize police and make them scapegoats, in deference to BLM.

Raise the pay. Cops deserve most of the criticism they get A lot of them behave like tyrants. People are holding them accountable and now people don't want to apply? Boo hoo.
