I quite believe you are simply trolling.

My comments stand - two tier laws - one for the Indian and one for the remainder.

This seems a silly week to be trying to make what is already an asinine claim. <_<

Armed thugs with a law that is different and provides special treatment.

No white guy could do those things and not be arrested.

Oh...and you mean like this soldier who pissed his pants?

Lasagna and Soldier

Little boy misfits

.

Actually the person in that Photo is not cross or Lasagna, but Brad larocque AKA freddy Krueger Ojibway, from Weyburn Sask.

As for our Boy Soldier, he did'nt piss his pants, he zoned MR Larocque out , which pissed him off further, eventually leading to a shoving match...our boy soldier was actually put on the fast track for his actions or lack of...later he was found guilty of using drugs, and released form the military, and went on to be some what of a porn star.

OKA

As for what soldiers think of the mohawks that were there vist the ARMY.CA site under OKA crisses and i think you'll be surprised, most soldiers actually respected each side...anyway it makes for some good reading, and debate as there are lots of examples from both sides on the site....

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

No arms (you lie), no thugs, and Canada's Constitution is the same for us all.

I am becoming jaded about the quality of 'white guys' from hanging out around here:

I am beginning to fear that no white guy could do those things, period.

Where are all the white guys fighting for our environment? Stopping the developers from paving the greenfields?

Stopping the uranium mines, and other mines that want to use our waterways for toxic dumping grounds?

Stopping the clearcutting and chemical monoculture replanting?

Why aren't you out there looking out for your children and grandchildren?

If you look at the history of the environmental/conservation movement, they were predominantly "white guys". I think the problem with the movement is that it was basically hijacked by "eco-feminists" who turned it into something decidedly more wacky, and it is only now that things are starting to get back on track. You can't blame intelligent, rational men for being put off by what "eco-feminists" did to the movement. We have to thank Jim Harris (a "white guy") for doing away with much of that nonsense and making the federal party what it has become.

Just caught the last two minutes of the Oka movie on CBC, and I could believe believe the claptrap. So that's what it's coming to in our country? Anything dealing with Idians is going to be overly idealized revisionist propaganda?

By nature Jennie a movie is never truth, even when it is based on a true story. It is a re-enactment of events constructed by people who have their own take on them. I did not see it though, so I don't know.

As for respecting the Mohawk warriors, I think that whenever they come marching by we all ought to salute them---Salmon Arm style.

Have you watched Rocks At Whiskey Trench Yet? It is a documentary and you can see for yourself how brutal and violent Canadian people are. However, I know your fear gets the better of you Gary and maybe you should go hide under Christine's bed....or doesn't she let you in her room?

A few years ago some Natives were pelting my brothers car with rocks with my 8 year old nephew inside.

Prejudices are based on fear.

Seems to me all the tough-talkers like you on here are quite afraid, in reality. There is some justification for that. If you fear living in a place where all people are considered equal, your visions of superiority kind of go out the window. If you fear equal value of each individual, you are living in the wrong country. These things could make you afraid as it becomes clearer and clearer that your views are out of step with the mainstream.

Geeezz...the streetcorner psychology is flying thick and fast around here. If all people were considered equal, entire segments of society would have to get jobs instead of claiming inequal status to the rest of us. You seem to shoot yourself in the foot in almost every post. That's quite a talent.

I tend to not consider "overly idealized revisionist propaganda" the truth, which is why I don't refer to what I feel is the truth as "overly idealized revisionist propaganda".

Yeah, I've watched it several times, in fact, as well as I believe every other documentary made about Oka. So what's your point? I try not to allow anything that reeks of propaganda--regardless of what side it takes--influence my attempt to develop an objective understanding of an issue/event. (Objectivity, it's safe to say, is a concept that is foreign to you.) As for these references to "Gary," please, don't feel that you have to provide any more proof that you're an idiot--that was established long ago.

The real-time footage wasn't made up.

Hey if in fact you have watched it several times, I wonder if you could remind me how many non-natives were injured or died as result of the rocks being thrown. And how many native people were injured or died as a result of the rocks being thrown at them? It is a real easy question that you should be able to answer quickly, if in fact you watched it once.

Nudge nudge wink wink, why is it you make stuff up and then think you can criticize others for doing what you do?

No I don't think the Mohawk Warriors should be accorded respect, they are to militant. When the Natives held a peaceful day of protest it garnered more attention and respect than the violence. It's time for the government to stop dragging it's feet and start negotiating in good faith with the natives. Settle the treaties and the natives need to learn to move forward. There is so much corruption from the band/reservation level up the chain of command. Canadian's want a complete audit on where the money is going. Natives living in third world conditions is shameful, but who should be wearing the cloak of shame is my question to Harper? I've yet to see any PM attempt to address the issue of corruption, why is that? If any other ethnic block were living in third world conditions the politicians from left and right and commies would be screaming blue murder. Why is the native's issues dealt with with silence?

Sadly no matter what forum I read when Native Issues are discussed the racism and lack of knowledge about Natives is staggering.

There were lots of warriors out there on the day of peace too.

I am beginning to understand the bias about warriors: A 'warrior' is an Indigenous man who does something people don't like. If he is doing something people like, he is not a warrior. I get it.

Gosh, that's the same definition for Mafioso

And my point was, of course, that the person who started this thread and the people who continue to bash warriors in fact have absolutely no knowledge of what an Indigenous warrior is.

Irrelevant, because whatever they are, the thugs and criminals who call themselves warriors ain't it.

I know what they used to be: proud barbaric fighters from a stone age culture. What they are know seems to be overweight thugs with drinking problems and/or FAS.

More Japanese were killed during World War Two than Americans, does that make Japan the victim?
