B. Max
All it will take is for one company to announce they are building an oil sands plant and away it will go. Good for them. http://www.canada.com/topics/news/story.ht...3b-36ae6ac544f9 Edited August 23, 2007 by B. Max
AngusThermopyle
Also good for many others across this country. I intend to buy a couple of houses in Sask, You can get a nice house in that province for about $4000 to $8000. In the near future I intend to buy a couple of them at least. I can see it going the way it has in Alberta actually.

You must have some pretty low standards about what a nice house is. $8000 hey.
AngusThermopyle
No, do you have any idea what houses and land are going for in that Province? I suggest that next time before you blurt something out you do a little research on the subject.

I'll admit that I was suprised when I searched MLS, it is indeed dirt cheap to live there... but I still didn't find a house under $25,000. And I wouldn't call that a nice house. For a decent, old school split, your still looking at $300k in Saskatoon. Those little houses are not sound investments, I'm going to tell you now. It's $25k for a reason, that's below what normal people pay there. You'll be dropping alot of cash just to keep them operational.

AngusThermopyle
House prices have been rising in Saskatchewan for over a year now. thats pretty inevitable I guess. The days of trading a house for a paperclip are over. Even so the prices are still low. I can see the market going the way it has here, you cant get a run down shack for less than $180,000 around here now.
