Qassam Rocket fired at Israel kills two children in Gaza Strip

A Qassam rocket falling in the northern Gaza Strip killed on Tuesday an eight-year-old boy and his six-year-old sister, and injured five other children.

The rocket, fired at Israel, fell short onto the children's house in the village of Beit Lahiya.

The Associated Press quoted witnesses saying, however, the group of children died after they stumbled upon a homemade rocket or a mortar shell and began playing with it. The device exploded, the witnesses said, injuring all seven children, two of whom died later of their wounds.

Moaiya Hassanain, a Palestinian health official, said the wounded were evacuated to hospital.

The Kamal Adwan hospital identified the dead children as eight-year-old Wesam Abed Allah and his six-year-old sister Hala.

The area is a frequent launching pad for militants who fire rockets toward Israel.

No Palestinian group accused the Israel Defense Forces of the explosion. The army often targets militants in air strikes in the region.

Obviously it's Israel's fault. If Israel didn't exist, the terrorists would not have launched the Qassam rocket at it, and those children would not have died. Israel is murdering children.

Obviously the only solution here is for Israel to launch airstikes and build more religious settlements. That should stop those rockets immediately.

It is definately Israel's fault. If Israel was an apartheid state they would allow Palestinians to set up their missile sites within Israel, in accordance to international law and thereby eliminating the possibility of killing the wrong children. Israel is murdering children.

You still angry over Fergy leaving you? I thought you got over that. So tell me, when someone shoots a missile at you, what should they do Andrew? Do tell us what one does when one is shot at. And do try not to turn this discussion into Elmer Fudd versus the Wasally Wabbit. Israel is not Bugs Bunny dealing with Elmer Fudd although from the sounds of it some of us do tend to think missiles are just buck shot from a lisping bald man.
