fcgv Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 The Bible is the book of the Church, and it was the Church which existed first. There is much more you are incorrect on, but those are the major ones. This is where you lost me. To which church do you refer? Not the Catholic church. It was schismed into existence during the 11th century. The birth of Constantine's church was the 4th century. James' church existed in Jerusalem just after the crucifixion. Nonsense. PC revisionist BS. Quote
betsy Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 Dan Matheson from CTV newsnet interviewed a spokesperson for the Presbyterian Church regarding the Pope's comment. I guess Matheson was quite disappointed with the Presbyterian Minister's response..."I am surprised with your reaction. It is too mild considering the remarks of the Pope saying your church is not a true Christian church..." The Minister was not baited however and refrained from being drawn into this obvious attempt at sensationalism. Quote
IXthAmendment Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 (edited) ... TRUST ME. Never. So basically you agree that a Priest and only a priest can in effect transform bread and wine into the actual body and blood of Jesus? Basically, yes. Of course I do. If someone put cyanide in the wine, and then a priest transmogrified it, would you drink it? Edited July 14, 2007 by IXthAmendment Quote

KO2 Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 I think my Oracle's hat is nicer than the Popes head gear. And there's plenty of white smoke around here. Hey, I'm going to crown myself "The First Free-Roaming Oracle of Modern times" Bud Oracle......... Just like the old Oracle of Delphi, I've got the resume of drug use, certainly have many far-out ideas, make great predictions. Think of what could happen if this got as big as the Olympics, another Ancient Greek tradition? Move over Pope Benedict... Raus mit dier... The Oracle, Bud's here............. Quote
