Hypocrisy

After listening to the Oprah commentaries about the racism in the US and Steve Paiken's show on TVO, Canada is no better, and then hearing the shootings in Virginia I am inclined to agree with people who say that the two biggest problems in the US today, and in Canada also, is racism and guns.

We all are hypocites. and there is a lot of scarry stuff on here as well. Evidently my way of life is the only way, or at least thats what I hear on here. Looking down on others for whatever reason seems to be our only thought.

In our religious communities we hear the Old testament quoted frequently. The Old Testament is part of Christianity, Judism and Mohamadism. In the bible it tells us that every man is entitled to his little plot of land with his own fig tree, no less, no more. In my interpretation that says we are all entitled to have a place to grow our own food and a roof over our heads.

All one has to do is look to people such as Conrad Black to see a reflection of our own greed.and hypocrisy.

Would you like to learn how to seize 160 Acres of unsurveyed crown land? There are of course limits to what you can then therein do, but if you are using it for as you say to grow your own food and a roof I see no problem there.

Margrace, that rant is incoherent.

You title the thread "hypocrisy" and then you state the biggest problems the US and Canada today are "racism" and "guns". You then finish by mentioning Conrad Black and saying that he reflects our "greed" and "hypocrisy".

Racism, guns, greed, hypocrisy. Which is it? And how about lust, envy and pride?

You seem to have used some TV shows and the tragic event in Virginia to arrive at these conclusions. IOW, you are just a modernized medieval Christian. Round up the usual suspects, burn a few witches and all will be well with the world.

PS. Isn't Bush somehow to blame for all this too?

I'm probably a little more versed in the Bible than the average Schmoe....but could you point me to where the Bible tell us we are entitled to that?
