SamStranger Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 The latest polls in Ontario clearly indicate that John Tory and his revived PC Party have a clear shot at beating Mcguinty. (The latest numbers have them only 3 points behind the Libs). So, would John "Red" Tory be a good sidekick to Mr. Blue himself- Harper. Would their policies coincide or contradict? geoffrey Posted April 18, 2007 Report Posted April 18, 2007 Contradict. There is some pretty convincing evidence that Harper is a socialist in the spending department. What is blue about the CPC, I'm unsure at this point. Quote RealRisk.ca - (Latest Post: Prosecutors have no "Skin in the Game") --

Given that a dead frog would make a better choice that mcguinty, that isn't a ringing endorsement. Infact, not ebing a head of the liberals is an idictment on the former cable guy. His best chance of winning the elelction is to get a negative voting bill passed...sort of like Rogers Negative billing fiasco, unless you indicate you don't want Tory, you do. I am a huge John Tory supporter. I think he is very honest and has charisma. But this thread needs further discussion. We need to elaborate on the fact that Tory is indeed a "blue Liberal" and Harper is "harper". If Harper gets a Majority this spring, and Tory gets his Majority in October- what kind of Policy's will be born? Quote "They say that lifes a carousel, spinning fast you got to ride it well. If if if...........Are you suggesting Tory will sell out Ontario for the greater glory of Harper? Anyway, I doubt he will get a majority, he can't win Toronto, in fact, he is vunerable anywhere Rogers has a wire.... When Tory ran for Mayor of Toronto he got nearly 300,000 votes and came in second place. He is definitely going to win his seat. Besides, thats not the debate here.
