Like I've always said, if you want qualified civil servants, you've got to pay them at least remotely close to the private sector. The only one from that list that concerns me is Steve Paikin. That does seem a little high for a TV host.

They are top heavy. True their salaries are right up there with the CBC....but compared to the for profit sector.....steve paiken and Paula Todd, on a per viewer scale, are the highest paid talking heads in North America.

TVOs homegrown programming is piss poor. Best thing they do is buy other networks reels.

I don't disagree. I was commenting more on the broader list that was released. I think most of those people provide value for their salaries.

Some exceptions are $100k teachers and a particular $139k a year nurse. I think firing her and hiring two lesser experienced nurses likely would provide more value. But hey. I'm not a hospital admin, and I don't have to deal with the union.
