scribblet Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 The one year report card is in and the Prime Minister has scored very well. http://www.sesresearch.com/library/polls/POLNAT-W07-T217.pdf Now I'm going to wait for the spin on these facts. BC_chick Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 The one year report card is in and the Prime Minister has scored verywell. http://www.sesresearch.com/library/polls/POLNAT-W07-T217.pdf Now I'm going to wait for the spin on these facts. Hmmmm. Then I wonder why according to the same SES poll, CPC and LPC are tied at 33% each..... Quote It's kind of the worst thing that any humans could be doing at this time in human history. Who's Doing What? Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Good for him. Becoming a Liberal has really helped his public image. Quote Harper differed with his party on some key policy issues; in 1995, for example, he was one of only two Reform MPs to vote in favour of federal legislation requiring owners to register their guns. http://www.mapleleafweb.com/election/bio/harper.html "You've got to remember that west of Winnipeg the ridings the Liberals hold are dominated by people who are either recent Asian immigrants or recent migrants from eastern Canada: people who live in ghettoes and who are not integrated into western Canadian society." (Stephen Harper, Report Newsmagazine, January 22, 2001)
Cameron Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Good for him. Becoming a Liberal has really helped his public image. That's the sad state the country is in. If you are not moderate, they will kick you out...not like they look into anything beyond what the MSM spits out at them. I bet if there was a more moderate US president he would be higher in the polls. Unfortunately Canadians seem to make parallels between American politics and Canadian politics far too often and let their disagreement of the US administration seep through to the Canadian administration. geoffrey Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Then I wonder why according to the same SES poll, CPC and LPC are tied at 33% each..... Western alienation really. In Ontario, the CPC is doing fantastically... and that's where the votes are. Quote RealRisk.ca - (Latest Post: Prosecutors have no "Skin in the Game") --
stignasty Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 In Ontario, the CPC is doing fantastically... and that's where the votes are. Yeah, if by "fantastically" you mean the same as in November. The Liberals have dropped 6 points from 44 to 38 The Conservatives are steady at 36% The NDP are up 3% to 19% The Green Party is up 3% to 8% The margin has narrowed, but not because of any CPC gains. The Liberals have lost left-leaning voters that will probably be much more likely to return to them than they would be to shift to the Conservatives. http://www.sesresearch.com/library/polls/POLNAT-W07-T215.pdf Quote "It may not be true, but it's legendary that if you're like all Americans, you know almost nothing except for your own country. Which makes you probably knowledgeable about one more country than most Canadians." - Stephen Harper
geoffrey Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 I think it's quite telling, looking at this recent SES report card. Dion is not well liked anywhere. Canadian's don't find him much more trustworthy or competent than Martin, and that's a huge issue for him. The Liberals elected a leader for the Liberal party, not for Canada. And we all know that. Harper seems to be trusted more and more with each day in office. If the Liberal's don't toss this parliament on it's head soon, Harper's going to continue to build trust. And then scary scary won't work anymore, if it would right now anyways. Quote RealRisk.ca - (Latest Post: Prosecutors have no "Skin in the Game") --
