PolyNewbie Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 It needs to be said that capitalism is attempting to make a stand here. No, socialism is making a very successful stand here until we wake up. Competition is a sin to these people. Opening borders is a way of establishing global monopolies. guyser:Oh more BS about the NAU. You think this country will put up with that? So it gets done while Bush and Harper are in power , well with one stroke of the pen it would be undone by the next govt. You live in a dream world. Quote Support the troops. Bring them home. jbg Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 Of course, I am proud to be a Canadian unlike those who want to become part of the USA, or who would subvert Canadian by stealth. Is "Canadian" meant to be the name of a country, or short for "Canadianism", whatever that is? Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Always remember that when you are in the right you can afford to keep your temper, and when you are in the wrong you cannot afford to lose it. - J.J. Reynolds. Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location? The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).
Catchme Posted February 13, 2007 Author Report Posted February 13, 2007 High-level meeting aimed at integrating North America says Council of CanadiansOttawa – North American integration will be the primary focus of a high-level trinational meeting scheduled for February 23, says the Council of Canadians. U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff will be in Ottawa to meet with Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay, Public Safety Minister Stockwell Day, Trade Minister David Emerson and their Mexican counterparts. “While recent media reports have claimed that the meeting will focus on border security,” says Maude Barlow, national chairperson of the Council of Canadians, “we know that the goal of this meeting is to advance a much larger corporate-led agenda for North American integration – something our government has been very secretive about.” http://www.canadians.org/media/DI/2007/09-Feb-07.html Quote When the rich wage war, it's the poor who die. ~Jean-Paul Sartre
margrace Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 The bottom line here seems to be money in my pocket now. There really seems to be no idea of nationalism or anything else. It just is my need right now to have it all and it doesn;t matter that our grandchildren will pay the huge price for our stupidity. Hard to believe that some of the naysayers on here are not working for big business in the US Quote

Hard to believe that some of the naysayers on here are not working for big business in the US Heck, I don't work for big business, LOL I don't work at all anymore. However, the anti US fervour which seems to permeat the liberal crowd, does not serve us well, economically or diplomatically. 'deep integration' is just more innuendo, propaganda to scare people with, there's nothing wrong with trade and making a profit. Taxes are paid on profits which allow you to suck off the public teet, if that is your concern. Quote Hey Ho - Ontario Liberals Have to Go - Fight Wynne - save our province

Hard to believe that some of the naysayers on here are not working for big business in the US You may have a point there, or they perhaps have some other ego driven motive. The fact there is another meeting coming up at the end of this month, says a good deal. They are on a fast time limit. There is nothing good in deep integration for Canadians, and very much too lose. Catchme Posted February 14, 2007 Author Report Posted February 14, 2007 Say No to a North American Union! Join the Red and White Ribbon Campaign for Canadian Sovereignty Canadian, U.S., and Mexican elites, including CEOS and politicians, have a plan to create common North American policies and further integrate our economies into a North American Union. This plan goes by various names: Deep Integration Harmonization NAFTA-plus the "Big Idea" (C.D. Howe Institute) the "North American Security and Prosperity Initiative" (The Canadian Council of Chief Executives) Americanization The end goal of the plan is to create a North American Union (NAU) by 2007, a new political and economic entity that would supercede the current countries of Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. Despite the fact that most Canadians want LESS integration with the United States under Bush, not more, this plan and the process of deep integration are unfortunately well underway. We are running out of time to stop the process of integration. Help us keep Canada strong and free. Please join us in our ribbon campaign and say NO to deep integration! I don't think so. Especially when it comes to Canadian's ability to retain their present lifestyle without the daily billions of dollars in trade and commerce with Bush's United States. "We are running out of time to stop the process of integration. Help us keep Canada strong and free." Oh right. These Maude Barlow and leftwing vive la Canada types are pleading for help to keep Canada free? Oh, the irony of it all. These are the same types screeching and howling about Canada's military being in Afghanistan under our NATO Treaty commitments. What a joke. I wonder just how these carpers and whiners would step up to the plate if they were really called upon to keep Canada free ....... too funny ... Quote

It seems that people who are in the minority, this would be those pushing for deep integration and the creating of a one huge super continent country under US control, and who support the CPC, somehow think that they are a majority.
