What do you think? Should she step down and let Paul Martin become the unofficial winner of the race or should she stick in there until the bitter end, hoping that some of the 90% may vote her in?

You get the point.

Economic Left/Right: 3.25

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.26

I want to earn money and keep the majority of it.

Copps is in the race for only one reason and that is to try to keep her job in the Liberal party.

She doesn't want to be swept out with the rest of the old guard when Mr. Martin cleans house and hopes that by maintaining some illusion that it is a race she can gain browny points with the new PM.

So she has no reason to quit now and she will stay right until the final ballots are counted.

I think she will be rewarded with a plum patronage appointment by Martin very soon after he takes over and her cabinet minister days are over.

Crouton will give her the Plum job, not Martin. The goal is to so alienate the left wing of the Lieberals that they go and vote NDP.

Does anyone here think for a minute that Crouton will want to watch paul martin rack up a bigger majority than he did?

her reward will come once she pisses on Martin at the convention. Then' she'll be off to Italy....

And Conservative leader, Mike harris will be able to ask Mr Martin why he allowed such a brazen political patronage appointment to stand... "You sir, did have a choice"
