"Scientists" respond to Al Gore. Print E-mail

Thursday, 22 June 2006

There's a rightwing (Canada Free Press) article circulating widely titled:

"Scientists respond to Gore's warnings of climate catastrophe".

It doesn't actually cite too many scientists, and the ones it does list have some interesting backgrounds.....

Bob Carter. A marine prof fired by the Australian government.

Read what a scientific journalist has compiled on him:

Global Warming: Fair Weather Friends?

Exxon factsheet on Bob Carter:

EXXON FACTSHEET: Bob Carter

Sourcewatch on Bob Carter:

SourceWatch: Bob Carter

Rips that dumb article that's making the rounds.

It just seems like the opposition to this movie is so...flimsy.

All the more reason to be distrustful of this 'documentary'. They are doing a hatchet job on anyone who dares to disagree with it. Character assassination is pretty ironic coming from those who decry such things when it's done about Gore.

Good news, another 'documentary' will be released soon on the CONSPIRACY that sounded the death knell of the eletric car. It's got a great, maybe even better than incon. truth, conspiracy theory to get the lefties' knickers in a twist. It was big business that done it. Oh wait, that's pretty much the same one, now isn't it...

What's wrong with doing a hatchet job on people doing hatchet jobs?

Don't pretend that CanadaFreePress article isn't just a cheap piece of swiftboating.

By the way, it is a documentary. You twice placed the word in quotes as if to imply that it's not. Bring yourself to at least that level of honesty
