SaaS: Own vs Lease

SaaS refers to software as a service.

You don't own, you lease.

Like renting, you pay for the use of the software. You don't own it.

What is property law?

I own my home in  Montreal; I think, until the Supreme Canada decides aboriginals own it.

But do I own the air above me?

Or how about the land below?  If there is shale oil, can I sell it?
