What makes the world global and not just a collection of different colored hominids? To start, transport ;airplanes, cars, trains, bridges, roads, ships. Then there is the information space that encompasses deep sea cables, satellite telecommunications, radio, computer chips etc. Control over any of these matters will mean the ability to shut down globalization.  So, for globalization to continue there needs to be an incentive to not screw over one another and treat each other as customers and not competitors. The incentive need not be financial, could be blackmail like M.A.D

Global infrastructure?

In the case of roads and such, generally "We the people" own them and pay for them...except for privately owned roads. Which exist and are a dumb idea.

In fact, "We the people" pay usage fees for all infrastructure. Who do you think laid the cable and networking? Do you not realize there are usage fees on that? Satellite comms...are not free either.

To take control of any of these items, you'd need to buy it from the owner(s).

Not terribly doable.

Its so lonely in m'saddle since m'horse died.
