The article is very well written and researched. Essentially, trillions are sent to non profits via government spending. Those NGO's consist of temporary and permanent nonprofits that funnel money to bypass laws. Sometimes they sue the government's into submission. Sometimes they use brute force or overwhelming numbers.

In any case, they are devoid of oversight.

Long read, but worth it.

$Trillions? Over how many years?

The article is LYING. It's NOT anyone's money other than the wealthy benefactor's who create the non-profit organizations, until they successfully lobby Congress to add to the pot.

And that means that it is Congress which if funding SOME of it.

I suppose there is always a degree of economic slop built into anything regulated, overseen, legislated by government. It is what hacks do.

The question is likely to what degree of slop, who benefits in terms of the political and national interest.

Everyone and that includes China, understands so-called, 'soft power'.

Difficult to define - but it is real.

ooooops ......... forgot to mention the humanitarian factor.

This thread needs to be stickied.

There is so much shit baked into this country that it's hard to know where to start.

I am curious. Why do you seem to support this 4th, unelected, unregulated, unaccountable branch of government?

Don't you think that if I were wrong that I would know it?

Now YOU ARE doubling down on that LIE.

Non-profits are generally funded with TAXED INCOME. Very few are tax deductible, esp NOT those used for political purposes. And Congress is RESPONSIBLE for any money they add to the POT.

I never said they were not untaxed. Yes, congress is responsible. I am saying they are abdicating their duties (best case) or complicit (worst/most likely case). When I say they are "unelected, unregulated and unaccountable", I mean to the citizens of the United States, not congress.

Now that your straw man is gone, fo you want to answer the question? Why are you seemingly supporting this unelected, unregulated and unaccountable fourth branch of government?
