Is that the solid, empirical conclusion now? Innocence, absence of precedents could have been used as excuses the last time, 92 years ago but where are such excuses now? None. Simply, they are already corrupt. They are prepared by their existence to do it.

Lindsey Graham, Republican: "releasing Jan 6 convicts was wrong".

Sure, the history will record that. One of a few, an infinitesimal fraction who spoke out. Saved his legacy, standing and honor. But it's not all of the story and not by far. The duty and obligation was not only to say some words but to act. The duty was to protect the society, democracy and Constitution against this existential threat!

The duty was to condemn the criminal mastermind not acquit him and encourage to come back for more. The duty was to keep him away from the politics, for good. All failed. There's nothing here to praise nor to be proud of. Formal politics will be the first to swallow then to fold to any atrocity.

Now a solid, empirical fact.
