I thought it was kinda mean-spirited, from what I could make out (it kept on cutting in and out). I heard the phrase "right to choose"; that's not one of my favorite terms. He seemed to be talking about sex with no responsibility, even if you create a child. Oopsie. Oh well, at least the female has the right to choose. Then right after that, he talked about rightwing hypocrisy! Ann Coulter is right. Many liberals don't have morals but then they mock others who don't meet the standards that they simply renounce.

Maybe it's just me, but I was kinda disappointed. I thought it would be funnier.

Now it is my turn. :)

This has to be one of the funniest videos I've ever seen. It's this middle-aged white guy "rapping" about how the Republicans hacked the voting machines and stole the 2004 election. This guy's facial expressions are priceless!

The video is here.

WARNING: Spew alert!

I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. He really kicks it in at the 1:15 mark (it's only a 2:20 minute video)

I didn't find either of the first two videos funny.

I watched the first of the three clips at the Press dinner in Washington and sympathized with Bush for having to sit through it and feign laughter. I think I would have got up and walked out.

Rick Mercer's rants are much better. His interview with PM PM is a classic.

I watch Colbert fairly regularly. He and Jon Stewart and Rick Mercer are probably the three funniest guys (well, loosely-scripted pundits anyway) on TV, though I admit to some psychological pain over my urge to argue with their implied viewpoints as related to politics. I caught Colbert's Monday night show and it was clear that his rabidly partisan fans in the crowd had a deep love and appreciation for his take down of the administration. He played a short clip and made light of the situation, joking with Stewart at the end of the Daily Show that after his speech he'd run a 215 mile mega-marathon in wingtips. I've read a number of reviews about his speech, many of them bad. Even the good ones seemed muted. Althouse suggested that perhaps his schtick doesn't carry well outside of the studio. He's a hugely talented comedian, and on his show he's an absolute magician.

I'm still predicting President Hillary in '08, and I'm quite keen to see what Stewart and Colbert will do with a Democratic administration. Bush has been an absolute goldmine for both of them, and I'm sure they will, at least, be sad to see him go.

Very funny video. The first few lines I was tempted to turn it off, but am glad I listened to the entire message. Sometimes I think that religous zealots do more to turn Christians into athiests than any temptations to sin.

I'm reminded of a quote I read when an American politician was being forced to testify on something. The interviewer made it clear that his line of defense would not work...."Sir. You placed your hand on the Bible and swore to uphold the constitution...you did not place your hand on the constitution and swear to uphold the Bible."

'Thou shalt not kill' means 'thou shalt not kill', it does not mean 'Thou shalt not kill an unborn fetus', but 'Thou are allowed to killeth the children of your government's enemies' or anyone else you deem to be dispensable. '

I am also a big fan of Colbert, Mercer and Daley. They tell it like it is.

According to a rabbi I saw on some A&E documentary the actual translation from Hebrew is "Thou shalt not murder." Which explains why the bible is full of killing that is okay with God.
