The Oscars are billed as rewarding the best. The trouble is, when Hollywood embarks on one of its crusades, that tends to get lost in the shuffle. Did Gore get the reward because it was the best documentary or because he symbolizes their latest cause? Using it as a forum cheapens all the awards IMO.

Gore got an oscar for his great acting ability in a documentary.

And it was great, he had everybody believing him.
