The period of history in the 1890s was not perfect but good. Ordinary people could travel, cross borders. Buy products from abroad.

I have travelled around the pre-war cities of Austrian-Hungary. They remind me of Montreal today. 

In the 1990s, too, it was good. Ordinary people could travel. China and Russia were open.

In Summer 1914, the European elite for no reason, commit suicide. They f*cked up the life of everyone,

I fear that our current ellite in these 2020s is about to do the same.

Let me add this point about the Cold War, the Soviets.

Kissinger understood that the Russians were not merely a player - the Soviets (Communists) wanted to dominate the world.

This was a complex battle. When Deng Xiao-Ping opened China and Yeltsin opened Russia, we in the West won.

We now need a new structure of peace.
