geoffrey Posted February 18, 2006 Report Posted February 18, 2006 Ever notice whenever the conservatives enter power the ecomomy in in a downward spiral? Let's hope that the ecomomic forecasts are good for the next few years ot the CPC will be out of office before we know it. The economy is largely taken out of the governments hands in recent times, real major recessions no longer happen due to policy, unless its some really ridiculous policy (NEP per say). While they still have some control over events, at the end of the day, a government has a hard time laying claim to things like job creation and wage rates in my opinion. Bank of Canada and business choose the economic health of the country and I feel both are given a fair environment to operate in. I really have no real recessionary fears in Canada as long as the Liberals or the CPC hold power. Both parties are very capable fiscal managers and will ensure we give businesses in Canada the power to make it all work. My biggest concern is over the health of the US economy, which a major recession there would crush us in Canada. This is a real issue. The Liberals actually left the ship in decent waters, and I'm sure the CPC will keep us there too! Quote RealRisk.ca - (Latest Post: Prosecutors have no "Skin in the Game") --
