Trump’s Donor Base Is Shrinking

Quote

In another troubling sign for Republican fundraising efforts, Trump has 270,000 fewer unique donors than he did at the same stage of his 2020 White House run. His campaign and affiliated political action committees got money from 900,000 donors from July 2023 to the end of the first quarter of 2024, down from 1.17 million four years earlier.

This shrinking donor base leaves questions about how Trump will sustain the costs of his legal battles on top of what is expected to be the most expensive presidential race in US history. The bottom line is he needs to step it up now when it comes to fundraising, especially while he’s stuck in court and off the campaign trail.

Too bad, so sad. LMAO

So weird...Trump is out raising Joe's handlers in the small donors: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/02/06/us/politics/trump-biden-donors-election.html

Then he went put and raised $50M in one night: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-raises-roughly-50-million-in-one-night-but-still-courts-his-biggest-2020-donor/ar-BB1laqFQ

But the thing is, those big donors are one and done. The small donors aren't near their limit so they can give over and over again. It's the well that doesn't dry up. And they have financial skin in the game, so you know they'll vote.

"can" being the key word. It DOESN'T MEAN "WILL."

Small donors are getting tired of paying Trump's LAWYERS.

Really? What "financial skin"? Trump's tax cut was mostly for 1% and large corporations.

The massive corporate tax cut is costing more than expected and not trickling down to workers.

Aren't you the one that wines whenever someone posts a link you deamed biased? Then you post that?

Come on man. If you are going to be demanding, try to meet your own standards.

Since biased opinions are now acceptable to you, her is the Hill's reporting on the tax cuts:

A careful analysis of the IRS tax data, one that includes the effects of tax credits and other reforms to the tax code, shows that filers with an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $15,000 to $50,000 enjoyed an average tax cut of 16 percent to 26 percent in 2018, the first year Republicans’ Tax Cuts and Jobs Act went into effect and the most recent year for which data is available. ADVERTISING  Filers who earned $50,000 to $100,000 received a tax break of about 15 percent to 17 percent, and those earning $100,000 to $500,000 in adjusted gross income saw their personal income taxes cut by around 11 percent to 13 percent.  By comparison, no income group with an AGI of at least $500,000 received an average tax cut exceeding 9 percent, and the average tax cut for brackets starting at $1 million was less than 6 percent. (For more detailed data, see my table published here.)  That means most middle-income and working-class earners enjoyed a tax cut that was at least double the size of tax cuts received by households earning $1 million or more.

Looks there. Your report was

Get ready for the Biden tax hikes if he gets re-elected, he wants to increase capital gains to 45% get rid of all of Trumps tax cuts including those for the middle class, which for someone making 75k will mean you will pay 1,700 more in taxes every year and corporate tax rate up to 28%. Let us not forget the 25% tax on unrealized capital gains, tax money on investments they haven't cash out of.

I am sure China is cheering for this since it will make them a far more attractive place to invest American money. I seem to remember someones politicians kid getting a large payout from China, I keep forgetting who.
