Melanie_
Haemophilia would seem to have been the worst genetic effect. That may apply to the royalty of Europe in the early 20th century, as well. StarSong
hiya again i think the principle difference with bestiality and incest (removing any moral, religious onjections and acknowledging neither act is for procreation) is that, biologiaclly, incest is more natural to the human race as a species. There are many species that have incest as natural. However, and forgive me if I'm wrong, but i think you would be hard pushed to find many other species that have sex out of their own species. perhaps thats an extra reason why bestiality is taboo

Incest confuses relationships terribly, to the point where people remain sometimes confused for a lifetime. In a similar sense, a medical doctor should not have an "emotional" relationship with a patient, nor a teacher with a student. It is an abuse of trust. theloniusfleabag
Dear August1991, In a similar sense, a medical doctor should not have an "emotional" relationship with a patient, nor a teacher with a student. It is an abuse of trust. This issue is being dealth with very sternly in the medical profession. A new approach is coming in as of Jan./06 where a patient/doctor personal relationship must be formally announced, and a waiver to end the professional relationship signed and witnessed. This waiver (copies thereof) goes to both the participants homes, offices and to the medical community internal newsletter and is published. I was told all of this by my chiropractor this weekend. Also, a huge crackdown on anything that might be considered 'sexual misconduct', including jokes or comments that could possibly be interpreted as sexual in nature, are also being introduced, with the offender facing possible license suspension for a first offence. Further, even an accusation gets published in the medical 'newsletter', with the caveat of 'action pending', even if not guilty. However, the distinction brought up earlier was incest 'between consenting adults', indicating that 'trust' was given freely, and not 'taken advantage of'.
