Argus Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 Some of you may recall the scandal when the Liberals awarded a multi-billion dollar relocatioin contract to campaign contributors Royal Lepage, even though they weren't the lowest bidders and hadn't done very well with the previous contract. Now it seems in addition to going to the wrong company some of the money involved - intended for relocating government employees - has been spent in interesting locations. Moving on up Quote "A liberal is someone who claims to be open to all points of view — and then is surprised and offended to find there are other points of view.” William F Buckley
Riverwind Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 intended for relocating government employees - has been spent in interesting locations.Quite an interesting story if you contrast that with the story about the gov't rejecting job applications without an Ottawa postal code to (presumably) save on relocation costs. betsy Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 This might be another Liberal scandal waiting to happen: CIDA If I heard it right yesterday from that Foreign Aids and Disaster Relief discussion, the Auditor General is currently looking into this...and it does not look good. Quote
fellowtraveller Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 Let us not forget the billions of wasted money waiting to be publicized at Industry Canada. Quote The government should do something.
shoop Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 I think it is probably better to stick with the scandals that at least have some merit to them. i.e. Adscam and Income Trust. The other one's are at far too early a stage to be relevant to *this* campaign. The moving one seems a little difficult to get out in public. At least something *appears* to be very wrong with income trust. Some of the allegations were proven in Adscam. All there is to this so far is a cheezy pro-conservative web site with pictures of *vacation spots* and dollar figures below them. You need a little more than that to go on... Quote
